I'm doubting that the 2.4 ToP, FCoB Allagan and beyond gear will have a ROG/NIN exclusive sets unless every job is getting another exclusive set. 6 armor sets (Fending, Maiming, Striking, Aiming, Casting and Healing) and 5 accessory sets (Fending, Slaying, Aiming, Casting and Healing) from 1 RNG source is likely the limit to what people can handle.

They said ninja was only sharing gear with monk up to 2.3 gear, and after that ninjas will gets their own. Also there was picture shown of the ToP and FCoB allagan ninja gear. The ToP ninja gear isn't the same as the monk gear as seen in the 2.4 preview trailer. I couldn't tell on the allagan.

After comparing the trailer with the picture shown. They are two different sets.

They actually didn't say what the OP said. They mention a class similar to pugilist and I assume that means a lot of cross-class skills will be linked between the two of the jobs, like NIN will probably be Rogue and Pugilist to acquire Ninja.

Y: (After checking) Up to level 50, if you happen to have it, you are able to equip the fighter gear. Up to level 50 it is not job specific gear, so as long as you have fighter gear you will be OK, since they have both dexterity and strength. Beyond level 50, for example, the Fuma set from the Crystal Tower, and on that the dexterity attribute is already attached, so you be be able to use that. From 2.4 there will be new specific level 50+ gear that has the dexterity attribute attached so you won’t be conflicting with the Monk’s gear. Each will have their own specific sets of gear.

It is as people have been saying in this thread. Stat will be DEX, and they will accommodate in changing the tooltip to reflect this.

So if Ninja is DEX based and i have only MNK and DRG geared at max level, i won't have any DEX accesories ( that you get by gearing BRD) . How is that a smooth transitionning?

You're the one excluding possibilities because you're assuming its definetely DEX but it wasn't clear which part was a joke and which part wasn't, and even for the parts that where clear like sharing gear with monk, it can be interpreted in different ways.

Another strawman. It's not going to be difficult to attain i100~110 post 2.4. i90 gear is the new Darklight Set. If you don't know how to get i95 minimum post update, I don't know what to tell you. Syrus Tower will be unlocked, Hunts will be even easier than it already is, and to top it off, there will be higher level armor to attain from the new tomestones.

You're arguing from a very short sighted viewpoint.
