Yeah this is an issue. Especially since most of white mage curing is basic conjurer and not white mage specific. How about looking how it could be rolled off of an existing DPS/TANK glass?
I just can't see a gun-wielding healer working out. I'm hoping it won't be the case.
ok this my opinion like in other topic, if u reach lvl 60 u get option, example paladin in u want be a DRK sacrifice ur soul crystal to DRK or new PLD soul crystal with new different skill, then for other job
WHM= new WHM soul crystal or be dancer (dancer use staff too)
BRD=new BRD sc or gunner
BLM=new BLM sc or be RedMage, bluemage
Warrior=new Warrior sc or be viking
summoner=new SMN or be Sage
SCH=new SCH or green mage
ninja=new ninja SC or be samurai
almost forget MNK= new MNK or mime

Yoshi-P unveiled a 007 shirt and made a motion as if handling a gun at the Londonfest reveal for DRK. It's safe to assume a gun-wielding job will be unveiled at the next announcement. I just can't say if its healing or dps, although my bet is on DPS using rogue as the cross-class. It might possibly be a gambler, especially with the 007 film, Casino Royale.
The DRK is its own job and class, so I think the new jobs will more or less follow this trend. I don't know if players start out at lv.1, lv.30 or lv.50 for them though, but it may be a safe assumption for higher levels if players are blocked from acquiring those jobs until later. Probably by some access means such as the npcs only being accessible with the new flying mounts or finishing the 2.4 story arcs to enter Ishgard proper and connected areas.
Anyway, holding with baited breath for dancer (ishgard) and red mage (likely on one of the floating islands).
Also, the idea of an archaeologist gatherer interests me, but I'm not sure if its needed. I can't imagine any new crafting classes though.

He Also Was Asked what would happen with the Job and Said "You can Start it right from the level 1"..... So Maybe your'll have too Level it all the way though.. I Can Imagine Being Sent into Dungeons for Quests for it too Kill Special Mobs for Advancing the DRK Job every 5 Levels or So.. and Absorbing there "Essence" into the Soulstone too Strengthen it...The DRK is its own job and class, so I think the new jobs will more or less follow this trend. Meh Specualtion can Wait.. NINJA! I Love the Bunny!
Sometimes insanity is the Only option.... Sanity Isn't the Norm, It's only what's Expected.
Insanity is the option that you can take as an Exit if you need too.
They're sadly making DRK tank......why couldn't it be dps with a scythe![]()
Because this isn't FFXI (the only game where Dark Knights used Scythes).
Normally they are dps, yeah, but they generally wield a sword (normal and Great) in every Final Fantasy title except XI. (Though they can also use swords and Greatswords in XI, scythe is typically the main weapon due to it's higher weapon score)

There are a handful of other games where they can use a scythe, but as near as I recall it all started post XI anyways. So Greatsword makes the most sense if you want the most "classic" Dark Knight weapon. It also fits the armor look more.
And they have plenty of tanking qualities. There is more to them than just the Darkness ability, even if it's the most iconic.
Actually, no, there are not. There is just one Final Fantasy game that they use scythe in and that is XI. Side note, I will concede that in the upcoming Final Fantasy Explorers game, Dark Knights do use a Scythe in that game, but I do not know if they have access to multiple weapons or not. Just that I've seen a picture for that game with one using a scythe.
Tactics.
FFIV.
FFX-2.
Not many other games show their pictures of Dark Knight, except Bravely Default.. which is pretty much a non-Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy game.

Handful. They also use them in Airborne Brigade, and I vaguely recall one or two others. I wasn't meaning to imply that they are as prevalent as Greatswords, merely that it isn't exclusive to XI. It could entirely grow in the future, depends on what they feel like doing. But the biggest game they've ever used scythes is definitely XI. They seem to mostly use scythes as a way to keep them different from Paladins, but it's kind of silly.
Also, pretty sure that's Cecil from FFIV, not FFIII's Dark Knights.
