    The folder leak was staged. that's bloody obvious. No way would they let random people at an expo spot it unless it was deliberate. that would be locked up tight otherwise and Soken would be in lots of trouble.
    They already have one handed and two handed versions of Conjurer and Thaumaturge Arms. I feel like they could apply this to other classes without it feeling too awkward. Two handed swords, one handed "javelin" style spears, one handed axes (maybe even dual wielded ala Rogue).

    I just want Dancer as a Job... ; ;

    The big reason that they can do one-handed and two-handed Conjurer and Thaumaturge weapons is because the spell animations stay the same no matter what the character is holding. Paladins use the exact same casting animations as Conjurers and White Mages. Two handed swords, one-handed spears, and one handed axes would require completely new animations for most non-crossclassable attacks.

    My prediction is that DRK will use an existing class: GLA. If I'm wrong, then I imagine their weapon being similar to swords, but not being swords. FF3 and FF4 and DRK exclusive weapons.

    DK has been more popular as sword wielders than ax wielders, and always has been. Sure there's a selected few out there that prefer an ax wielding DK, but there's a greater number that prefer the classic sword wielding DK. If this wasn't the case, DK would've been an ax wielder in more games.

    That is one of the 3 possibilities I'm seeing, the others being melee DPS alternatives for Gladiator(most likely possibility) and Marauder(least likely possibility).

    I think they already said at some point that DRK was planned to be based off GLD.

    I wonder, though, if it'll necessarily be a tank. Not that we COULDN'T necessarily use more, but Dark Knight in past FFs had a distinctly self-absorbed aspect, which doesn't seem particularly "protective".

    True, but creating a whole new Class would require *significantly* more animations, not to mention development time, compared to just adding new animations for two handed versions of one handed weapons.

    Although this all could be a moot point depending on what changes they make to the basic class system.
