Unless you have seen him/her posting the same complaint about other Jobs, you have no right to assume that. ;p

I don't think there is an identity issue at all. I scholar and summoner as mains (one for one group, one for the other), and I have absolutely no problems with their identity at all. I enjoy playing both, I enjoy the lore of both. People like you are making up this identity crisis because this summoner isn't to your liking. That's fine, but play another class you enjoy or learn to enjoy this hoe it is.

blm is my favorite class in the series, and they changed it pretty drastically upon the implementation of mp vs spells per day. What you are asking for is a regression of the class. I don't want it. Most people who main these classes don't want it. things change game to game.

i complained about SMN not really being a summoner, becaust its not...., OMG, it just hit me, its a magical beastmaster, the pet will forever be 1/3rd of the damage and the player is the main damage source ... well sh!t, why couldnt SE just call it that, id believe it more!

SMN for me, is hereby known as Petmaster, because in honesty, its not quite as badass as BST, no axes.

From what I remember XI was only time Dark Knight use a scythe. Most of the other games had them using a sword.

... they did that wierd thing they did in FFXI, i can live with it, its wierd, but w/e, gear looks nice
