Congratulations on admitting/providing the evidence to harassing another PC in game via MPKing them. I haven't thoroughly read through this thread, and you may have provided enough proof that they WERE botting, but I can't be bothered. All I see is someone violating the ToS by MPKing.

defensive? no, but people always cry "bot" without any real proof other than "this person ignores me" or "this person follows me" or "this person is ALWAYS here." I was reported for fish botting in 11 AT LEAST twice a day. Now if you think about it, a lot of the 11 crowd is now on 14...do the math. We have A LOT of little boys who like to cry wolf.

There's not just craft botting. There's also grinding on certain mobs. I've been in an area where one guy has spawn killed the majority of the mobs by me. Botters also like to go in caves and enclosed areas where they aren't so noticed. Not crying wolf but we would like some justice.

To the other people, there is a pack of 8 lalas on Lindblum that sit there and do nothing. All with

Sfdsfjl Jokjfs and Ljfasljkf Ljfjjfj as their names.... it's annoying. Play the ****ing game the right way, damn people....

To deny the existence of hordes of bots in this game is delusional at least, and actively ignorant at worst.
I recently had the pleasure of watching the promotional video of a pretty sophisticated bot program on youtube.
I guess they are promoting just for fun, despite there being no demand?

You do realize how he "MPK"'d them right? The bot was targeted and locked on him and followed him. It's not an MPK when the player actions are automated. I watched members of my LS do this in early release too and I fully support it.

Now, to play devil's advocate here a bit; If an actual player sitting at their PC locks onto you and follows you into a group of aggro mobs, it's still their own fault.

Admitting that you can't be bothered to read doesn't help your position either. Have some knowledge of the discussion before commenting on it - otherwise open wide and learn to enjoy the taste of your own shoe.

The Desperado made that same excuse, apperently he had a 6 year old who could craft for him for 50+ hours straight at a time, and thats why no one responded cuz he wasnt allowed to


anyone who uses that "my kids craft for me" is a 99% chance that they are botting and trying to use the excuse

start reporting them on a regular basis and watch how fast they get banned like desperado did

To help with crafting botting I think they should just put in a validation, similar to what websites do to make sure there is a person at the keyboard.

Instead of selecting finnish at the end of a synth, bring up a combination of 4 random characters you have to type in to actually get the synth completed.

Give you a 10 second time limit to put it in.

you fail, you lose the synth, I know this does not stop other forms of botting, but every element helps.
