You don't think adding an unnecessary set of actions to an already tedious, drawn-out process would impact you at all?

I'd say Tempest should make a thread, so you guys can see how many people disagree with this idea. It does not need to happpen.

If anything, having to do the Konami code on a keyboard ruins my immersion!

It wouldn't impact me because I wouldn't mind it. I'm hardly speaking for everyone, just my own opinions on it. I think it is something that should be discussed and brainstormed on. Perhaps the community can come up with something that serves the intended purpose but doesn't put off the players. It is worth looking into if only to help control the botting situation.

I don't think it matters how many different validations or challenges you put in for crafting, the developers of these bot utlities WILL find a way of adapting their software. It's just the nature of things.
It's the same as hacking, companies will get all this great security which looks wonderful on paper, but a determined hacker will eventually break it.

I hope SE realises this and doesn't put in extra steps to crafting, as it will make crafting take even longer to do for those who do play legitimately and put most people off crafting altogether (unless they bot).
