Do you respond to the GMs when you get reported for botting?

beware that line of thought, everytime i bring it up people start yelling thats not how they check to see if your botting(of course its not the way they check, not the only way that is, but its a good indicator if they send you a message and you refuse to respond even though your active)

of course, IF I have tells enabled. I have 2 chat windows "All" chat which has everything and "Battle" chat which only contains LS and party chat. I've never been reported for botting in 14 though...strange...because I was reported at least twice a day in 11....

you can tell he isnt a bot by this line of thinking
if he was botting he woulda said "i dont have to respond to a gm, they cant tell im botting by not responding to them anyway, and thats not how they check you"
and he woulda got all defensive over it for you even mentioning it

so much jealousy in this thread. When I craft, I don't respond to people unless they are in my LS. Why? Because, chances are, I don't know you and I don't want you interrupting my grinding. Problem?

theres a difference bwteen ignoring people and flat out telling people "my kids craft for me, i turn off their chat"
thats one of the most common bot excuses out there, and most people who use it get banned


someone who wasnt botting and was just not talking isnt afraid to tell people that they just didnt wanna talk to them, cuz thats not an excuse at least its just telling them how it is

defensive? no, but people always cry "bot" without any real proof other than "this person ignores me" or "this person follows me" or "this person is ALWAYS here." I was reported for fish botting in 11 AT LEAST twice a day. Now if you think about it, a lot of the 11 crowd is now on 14...do the math. We have A LOT of little boys who like to cry wolf.

I doubt it's crying wolf, if we have a lot of ffxi players(a pity, go back to ffxi), then it woudln't surprise me they bot. After repeating the same thing over and over for 8 years I would too.

There's not just craft botting. There's also grinding on certain mobs. I've been in an area where one guy has spawn killed the majority of the mobs by me. Botters also like to go in caves and enclosed areas where they aren't so noticed. Not crying wolf but we would like some justice.

To the other people, there is a pack of 8 lalas on Lindblum that sit there and do nothing. All with

Sfdsfjl Jokjfs and Ljfasljkf Ljfjjfj as their names.... it's annoying. Play the ****ing game the right way, damn people....
