A bot is a bot, whether it's a macro script or a 6 year old kid.

Couldn't that be considered some kinda crime?

Isn't that normal? Nike,Adidas,Converse,reebok,Vans etc etc have been doing this for years, it's just the way of the world.

Also this person you took screenshot of doesn't seem to be harming you're game play so why even care?

I predict this thread will go on to be one more place for white knights to declare how this game doesn't have RMT and people with common sense come to rip their hair off because common sense doesn't reach them.

Economy is such a big problem in this game I'd almost rather have just NPC-sold stuff and no transactions between the players at all like in Monster Hunter3.

MW zealots (all three of them) want their MW that was already turned into a broken AH and AH wouldn't take away the hugely rampant RMT. The MW system and other gameplay hindrances SE implemented harm the players but they also get to play with a massive RMT population. There's just no way to win this fight.

XI with an AH has much less RMT or it might be because there's a lot more real players than bots in XI in relation to XIV it just seems like the problem isn't that obvious.

Also I'm horrified of the idea that somebody would buy XIV gil. Honestly how lazy can you be to stoop to such lows? You barely have to lift a finger to get the "needed" gear in this game.

The Desperado made that same excuse, apperently he had a 6 year old who could craft for him for 50+ hours straight at a time, and thats why no one responded cuz he wasnt allowed to

start reporting them on a regular basis and watch how fast they get banned like desperado did

and kinda hard to prove a bot is banned cept for the fact they dont log in, at all anymore(he was also in my shell, so it was easy to notice when he was gone)

Certainly seems odd that they're banning the bots no one knows about but ignoring the blatant ones then. All of the well known botters on my server are still shitting up the game.

I think you're just confusing a guy who decided to quit with a banned bot.

he wasnt an unknown bot on my server at the time, so i wouldnt say "the bots noone knows about"

this guy literaly got a few 50 crafts overnight, and then all his combat was being botted up while he gathered mats, it was pretty bad

and those of us in his LS saw him doing it, reported him, and got him banned


ALOT of the people not getting banned are cuz no ones reporting them, or cuz you people dont know how to report, telling the task force "hes a bot get him" doesnt say anything, people need to actualy detail out what they are doing so they know what they are looking at too

Do you respond to the GMs when you get reported for botting?
