If story coil means no achievements and no gear drops, welcome to story coil: you can watch your 1080p cutscenes instead of using youtube.
That will be a 10 min. fight each so it means you will do it for 40 min. at the start then you can return spamming ST.

FFXIV needs alternative contents (like Dynamis, Sky and HNMs FFXI had) that require high number of people, higher difficult and demands in main story quest scenario to make people busy.

Then it can fine :P if the current end game content (coil now and something different later) will drop the best gear around everytime. It's a deal easily to make even if I don't get the point to clear it just for the cut scenes (and I love to follow RPGs plot, but it doesn't mean I want to watch cutscenes without doing my job).

Try soloing any dungeon boss from even the earliest 50 dungeons and you'll understand why that's a stupid statement. We're 67 ilevels above Wanderer's Palace and it's still impossible to solo tonberry king, no one will ever be able to solo a dungeon in this game because even 4 man dungeons are not designed to be able to be cleared solo.
