Would you be disappointed if they re-used elements for new Primals?

For example. Right now we got Titan, Ifrit, Garuda, Shiva, Garuda, Leviathan.... but perhaps another continent has other Primals with other names who are elementally aligned?

For Example -

Perhaps the Four Fiends?

Or some of the lesser known ones from previous FF's.

Ixion, Quetzalcoatl, Brothers (Minotaurs), Phoenix, Pandemona, Atomos..

It shouldn't be an issue. The FFXII Espers are all but confirmed to be the next "Primals" in 3.0, what with the rise of Zodiark in the main story and an egi of Belial showing its face in the Summoner storyline.

I mean, not that it matters if there are elemental similarities. It's not like those elements can be exploited.

You're right, but "all but confirmed" is overstating how much weight is behind the idea. Two allusions in an MMO almost designed around allusions isn't much.

Though...I would be happy if it were true :x I loved FFXII's espers.

I'm so confident in my speculation that I'd be willing to put money where my mouth is. Zodiark is coming. That is actually confirmed by the story. There has been an egi of Belias, an elder primal, playing a part in one of the job quests. I am fully confident that the next series of primals will be the FFXII espers. They will include, but not be limited to the following:

Fire: Belias
Wind: Chaos
Earth: Hashmal
Water: Famfrit
Thunder: Adrammelech
Ice: Mateus

While I am not nearly as confident about the following suggestion, I would like the Espers to have their own dungeons modeled after the final dungeons of the games their namesakes come from.

Chaos - The Chaos Shrine
Mateus - Castle Pandemonium
Zeromus - Lunar Subterrane
Exodus - The Interdimensional Rift

I can already picture the Brother's fight.

The big one hits with magical enspell/type damage... the little one hits for big physical damage, and puts stacks on each tank debuffing them with Magic Down/Phys Down, requiring a timed swap where brothers tanked at opposite corners hafta cross, and when they meet in the middle during the swap they send out a wave of damage that requires group heals.

For Phoenix I picture her forever reviving her minions until she dies, kinda like a LB 3 Healer, except she does it 3 times, requiring her to be killed many times before defeating her. Similar to King Mog, except with it's own spin on it. Perhaps after each rebirth, more adds come... which I picture to be either the beastman of choice, or maybe just fire sprites with a vengeance.

Elemental reuse? Nope. Exact same primal reuse? you betcha.

As much as I like Titan, I don't want to see Titan UM (Ultimate mode). Their purpose has be thoroughly lived.

If people are going to get disappointed about re-used elements, they've got a LOT of Final Fantasy to catch up on. And besides the elements, there's also a large number of non-elementals and multi-elementals that need to see the light of day (or dark of dungeon, whichever).

Don't see why i'd be disappointed about them reusing elements . It'd be more out of the ordinary for them to reuse beastmen that belong to a primal than the element it has an affinity for.
