Crafting is useless?

The question is "useless for what?". I really enjoy crafting. I probably do more of it than anything else in the game. It is an aspect of the game in its own right with its own progression challenges and stands on its own feet, as well as being very supportive of other aspects of the game.

I think to a degree the highest tiers of crafting, like the Primal Weapons, are a bit like Savage Coil. There's no particular reason you'd want to be able to make them other than you want to be able to say you can make them ... but some of us do want just that because this is our chosen progression path.
