Given how expensive it is, havin the house available for all the toons available on the account would be really great.

Unless all the toons are on different servers. You can't exactly expect a character on one server buying and decorating a house automatically have it available to other servers. But I do Agree it would be nice to allow access to the house on all characters on the same server. I have all my Alts in one Linkshell I use for RP, so if I can allow that Linkshell access, that would be a fine solution in my book.

This would be a side effect if they added the permissions list that lots of people are wanting.

It's really stupid that they allowed people to buy a house that was originally intended for up to 500+ people only to make it only allowed to be used by the original buyer.

No, definitely not if it's a forced share. Some people are RPers and want separate houses for separate characters for IC reasons; some just want the option for more, because they like decorating, or whatever. This would absolutely infuriate a lot of people. I'm certainly not rolling in gil, but the option to have more than one house should be there, so long as they continue to add wards (which is a problem in itself, but not one the players should be restricted for). Now the option to add permissions for other characters is one thing, and should definitely be in there, for personal alts as well, but by default? Definitely not.

Permissions, though. That I'm all for. I do worry they wouldn't want to allow it, given how little we can do between characters as-is, but it'd be nice.

That sound reasonnable. Just hope that SE will do something about this, no reason for toons on the same server to not share the house

So maybe I went about it wrong, I pretty much soloed an fc to rank 6 and bought a house, I have extended the benefits of my fc house to a few others and when I make a new toon I just join my fc, tadaa multiple toons one house.

SE can try to allow all character in same account will share a personal house, imo this sound much better than 1 house /character. It is still one house/character but it will be one player/personal house rather than 1 player 8 house for 8 characters

If people have enough gil to buy 8 houses and enough time to level 8 chars to 50 + max GC rank, that's their reward. It's not their fault that SE didn't have the foresight to add enough houses for "everyone" who wants them, or add an alternative to people who only care about the garden.

EXACTLY! I'd easillly rather purchase a few gardens in some kind of gardening colony even for 500k - 1m each instead of "wasting" money on the whole houses I don't use for anything else but gardening ...
