I've never claimed that I want a Bigger, Better looking EGIS or a full scale primal. Just how and why did everyone just assumed and jumped to conclusion with this idea?

As for the 2nd concern, I just wanted to justified what would be the point of playing a summoner if a Paladin, Monk, White Mage etc can summon a full scale primal which SE claimed they would introduced such system down the road to a single Free Company? Wouldn't that make sense that anyone can just become a summoner?

The reason why I stated that SCH and SMN are too much alike is that pet wise, they basically have the same skill sets so gameplay are the same in pve. As for dungeon run, I can basically become a Healer role and solo heal a tank if not everyone in a lower lvl dungeon. The fairies are too much similar to the EGIS imho. Wouldn't it make sense to just merge the two job into one ultimate hybrid job and just call it a day?

1. Just what happen to the EGIS? Why are they so small and resemble nothing from their primal counterpart? I thought I was getting punkd when I obtained them. I think It would be better off just to summon the specific beastmen of each tribe to represent the EGIS at this point. Ex: You would summon a single Amalj'aa instead of Ifrit, Kobold for Titan, Ixal for Garuda.etc

Summoner is already pretty varied, if you combined summoner and scholar into the same job parties would probably be 80% summoner, 1 tank, and a blm for sleeps.

Regardless if players can summon a small portioon of the avtars power, the egi's are a disservice to the Final Fantasy name, it is also an insult to the player base. Look back at the majority of the avtars that players have been able to summon and they definitely didnt look like egi's. The avatars in XIV are a joke and it is a shame that Yoshi in a sense destroyed the ICONIC figure of summoner.

Someone in the thread mentioned XI avatar's and how they would punch for 2 dmg, I would like to remind that player that the avatars 2 hour ability would rock a majority of mobs in XI.

The dev's need to re-look at the egi's and consider makeing a trial to have them grow to look like the full avatar, and that I mean by killing each EX primal x amount of times.

Statements like this make me angry. It's like willful ignorance is the new thing to be. It was explained hundreds, if not thousands, of times why they can't. Ignorance is bliss but that only works if you don't know.

But let me humour you.

Now remove all the single player games from that list and you're left with the only game that you should compare FFXIV to; FFXI. There was a lore reason why you had your avatars the way they were. This is a new MMO, they can do what they like. They create the lore, they follow the lore, if you don't like it, that's not their problem (you can only vote one way, with your wallet).

FFXI already destroyed it. You don't summon like in all other Final Fantasy games, only once big damage go away, and don't try to tell me you do because then you'd be lying. So they ran with the roaming pet, gave it a reason why they look how they do, and that's where we are.

Basically, your crying falls on deaf ears because it's an argument in futility. What you want is retconning of all the lore which is fine in lesser games but not so hunky-dorey in Final Fantasy games (so I am told).

That's a reference to the FC summoning system they want to implement in the future and it has nothing to do with the class design of summoners.
