1. You're summoning the essence of the primal to help you fight, not a giant ass god of destruction to fight for you.
2. I don't know about you, but there's way too much shit on the floor to dodge in most fights to have a primal covering most of it up (plus their huge hitboxes soaking every hit aimed within 50 miles of them).
3. We don't know jack about the full primal summoning, for all we know the FC needs to pay 1,000,000 crystals then spam /pray to unlock an alliance LB4 bar, also last I checked the beastmen tribes didn't have arcanists yet they summon the primals.
4. SCH and SMN too alike? It's almost like you've not played either job for any length of time.

I agee, someone said it awhile ago. When lore starts to get in the way of gameplay.. it needs to take backseat, this isn't a book.

You seem to forget what game you're playing, to paraquote Yoshida "If there isn't a lore reason behind it, it's not happening".
