(Extremely Gimped Iconic Summon) that is EGIS

I'm a mained SCH and just recently trying out SMN to see what the fusses was all about and there are just 2 things that I'm just bothered with the job in general and would like some informative insight from the community here.
1. Just what happen to the EGIS? Why are they so small and resemble nothing from their primal counterpart? I thought I was getting punkd when I obtained them. I think It would be better off just to summon the specific beastmen of each tribe to represent the EGIS at this point. Ex: You would summon a single Amalj'aa instead of Ifrit, Kobold for Titan, Ixal for Garuda.etc

2. SE did announced that not only can you captured but also Summon a full Primal. So apparently anyone can become a summoner now? So what would be the point of the current SMN class?The Dev. Did mentioned that they don't want to revamp the EGIS and also Lore doesn't support summoner to summon a full blown out egi yet a single FC can out trump any SMN in game with this feature. If this is the case, would you rather summon egi or full primal that come with weather effect and glory?

Side note: Does anyone also think that SCH and SMN are way too similar that basically one is just a reskin of the other? Would SE considered merging SCH and SMN into one single class and just call it Red Mage?

I feel like SE is way past the point of caring about egi appearance, so it's a bit late to keep bringing this type of stuff up. What we have is all we'll ever have (with regards to the current 3 egis).

Regardless if players can summon a small portioon of the avtars power, the egi's are a disservice to the Final Fantasy name, it is also an insult to the player base. Look back at the majority of the avtars that players have been able to summon and they definitely didnt look like egi's. The avatars in XIV are a joke and it is a shame that Yoshi in a sense destroyed the ICONIC figure of summoner.

Someone in the thread mentioned XI avatar's and how they would punch for 2 dmg, I would like to remind that player that the avatars 2 hour ability would rock a majority of mobs in XI.

The dev's need to re-look at the egi's and consider makeing a trial to have them grow to look like the full avatar, and that I mean by killing each EX primal x amount of times.

Ok guys I know we seem like a vocal minority that don't care about the game, but when you think about it, a HUGE amount, if not the majority, of ff14 players don't come onto the forums or bother giving their opinion/feedback, heck I was one of them but I love the game and I thought I would give my opinion in hopes that it gives another perspective on things, it may not be the most thought out, it was just meant to be creative feedback about it, but it's an honest opinion nonetheless. I bet a lot of people are the same way, the friends I play this game with talk to me all the time about what could be improved, but they never actually go to the forums or whatever.

Anyways can we just try having a kinder atmosphere when it comes to this? It's upsetting to see so much passive aggression (or plain aggression aggression.) I hope we're all here because we feel ff14 is a wonderful world and experience, because that's what matters most
