    Lock-out Timer Question

    Has there been any discussion about removing the lock-out timer from end-game raid content and perhaps changing it to a once a week loot drop similar to ST?

    Just curious if it was ever mentioned or considered. Personally I am finding it hard to find a static group for the end game content. My group spent nearly two months getting a static together, only to have it fall apart after one t6 clear. So facing the daunting task of doing this all again, I'm starting to feel a bit burned out on the entire process.

    Perhaps the economics of allowing everyone one drop a week do not align well with one drop per eight players in terms of subscription longevity. I can only speculate, but I wonder how many others have been in my position and just given up trying.

    Anyhow, just curious if that was ever brought up.

    in less then a few week the lock out on SCoB will be lifted and be farmable (much the same t1-5 is now) since ilvls are getting increased and the third coil is coming out.
    free loot, no lockout,farm for days.

    if however you are talking about end game raid content as it progresses, no. not as of yet i dont believe...third coil will have the same lockout that SCoB has now and i dont see it to change anytime soon

    They've discussed that they would like to change it in some format - however, every other option has issues, such as making it easier for people to sell clears, or farm specific drops, etc.

    There will remain a lockout on top-tier gear; however, when that amazing gear is no longer as important, the lockout will be removed, just like it was on first coil/labyrinth of the ancients.

    The current coil lock out gives little reason to attempt it unless you have a solid static. There is really no way for a larger number of players to to practice it at all. I did run practice groups for t1 and t2 before patch 2.2 when the lock out was removed. I knew them well and could clear. The only rule I had in all of the teaching groups was in the off chance that we might clear, we wipe at the end. That rule was there so I could teach more players. That was a much hated rule. I got a lot of nasty tells over that, stopped helping others before giving up on running coil all together. I really like the coil story and would hope more can see it. SE should change the lock out to something like ST so we can help other players again.
