No Gear Drops from Expert Roulette?

I'm already annoyed with Expert due to the fact that all I get day after day is Stone Vigil (Hard), which I already. Personally since I posted that I am still only getting Stone Vigil (Hard), RNGesus save me...

Yet another issues arises with Expert Roulette dungeons... crafting mats.

I have done multiple runs, trying to get gear for tank and only gotten crafting mats: Every. Single. Time. And I'm not talking about; oh look 2 chests had mats and some other gear dropped, and no tank. I am saying crafting mats from every chest all the way through until the end. One of my friends has been trying to get the dragoon gear set for months and said he sees crafting mats about 75-80% of the time.

To make issues worse, the mats they do have drop (instead of useful gear) are so minute that there is nothing you can really do with them. Here have 1 peacock ore, even though it takes 9 to do anything with it, at least make it something viable. If you don't need the gear, you get like 900+ Grand Company Seals for it, but with crafting mats I get 1 ore? 1 Filtered water? 1 Animal fat?

Between this and the fact that I get the same dungeon continuously, I am wondering if that roulette and those dungeons are balanced properly. While crafting supplies are nice, I don't want them every run from every chest especially when the amount you get is pretty much pointless.

To be fair, the mats that drop cost 2,500 seals each.

However, sometimes I do wish the dungeons would drop more gear. As it is now, I've never seen the caster robe drop.

It is quite depressing, at least for people who have no need for the gear the seals from them or vanity are far more worth then crappy crafting mats, i think one SV run we saw 3 peacock ores in a row, so not only was RNG cruel enough to only give crafting mats it picked the SAME ONE. 3 times back to back. i mean each boss dropped 1 ore each..

It's gotten to the point i really don't even want to do Roulette anymore unless i need to desperately cap soildery, because crafting mats are not good motivation.

Filtered water sales for 600 and the blood for 12. These are by far the most common mats. In these dungeon. The idea of crafting mats was ok in the first round of dungeons because you still had 2 chest that always gave gear, outside of the boss. In the new dungimp only boss chest give gear and I've run hull breaker 6 times in a row and seen nothing but crafting mats, and I've never seen more then 2 ppeices of gear drop in the same run.

I guess, but they aren't all completely useless! You can collect them up for the augmented attire, which some of the mats require (like filtered water, surprisingly), if you want to go the cheapest route, ofc.

Q: Can you please make it so equipment drops in instanced dungeons more than crafting materials?

A: When I can find the time, I've been playing through my fair share of dungeons, and I came across someone that looked just like an NPC. I was really impressed with their choice of gear, but because their set wasn't complete, they've been continuously doing high level dungeons to get the items they need, but crafting materials keep dropping. Since the popularity of glamours have been increasing, I'll be talking to the item team and looking into adjustments for this.

It's not a definitive response, but I'd be surprised if they don't at least change the drop rates.

I think they should change the drops so that gear drops from bosses and the mats drop from all of those little miscellaneous chests scattered about the dungeon. Right now, the only drops from those are items no one ever even uses, and are so plentiful in the game that they sell on the market boards for peanuts because no one uses them ever.
