How to be a good Bard

I love Lindsey... but I thought this was just one of the coolest things... and it completely captured what I generally consider the essence of a bard to be :

That is how to win at barding, imo. It reminded me of primal summons....but cooler than I have seen in game.. which is a bit crazy.

"spontaneous" yeah ok.

side note: win at barding by playing a song when someone asks for or needs it. not a hard job and poor try at a support style class.

Well... it was more of a lighthearted look at barding... I wasn't really trying to criticize players. =-)

Also, it wasn't supposed to be really "spontaneous"... I don't think that detracts from the impressive performance.

Lindsey and SE don't get along apparently...

She made a final fantasy tribute video a couple years back including doing it in certain costumes, they wont allow her to post it for some such reason or another.

But ya, how bard should be is a life to the party...instead of just being there.

Also, if both of your whm die in ST and get rezzed during a boss fight...and lets say another bard is out of mana due to singing foe for the blm....and your the other bard....mind tossing down mage ballad for them??? no?? ok....

I play a Bard and sing, sing, sing! I also completely understand everyone's complaints about BRD players... Last night I was in ST and we had another bard in the group. I think they had no idea they could sing?! I even requested they help and suggested which song be sung. nope. I eventually asked if they "broke a string prior to entering the run?" which was wonderfully timed because as we were all grouped for the next boss, our "brd" was in the wrong huddle prompting other members in our group to call them back to our location, lol.

So yeah, I feel all of your pain and then some because until I play, and people see I can actually run correctly as a bard and "help" my group... I take full flack from the reputation of bad bards out there.
