120 minutes? I have an inkling it's one, long turn a la CT with shortcuts after every big encounter.

This community astounds me at times.

I wonder how hard Final Coil will be because this is the final end game raid until 3.0 is out. I hope they up the difficulty this time, 2nd coil was somewhat disappointing with its easy difficulty. Blue Gartr killed T8 in the first week while most everyone else followed the week after. Then the final boss goes down only 1 month after. After you beat T9 its just like 1 hour a week and your done playing FFXIV for the week.
One can hope that the new coils will have fights to Check the DPS, to check the healers and to check the tanks. More than 5 turns. wont be able to get by the 1st turn until properly geared with the new tomestone gear.
So you want the new turns to be impossible until weeks of caping your tomestone?

If Bahamut isn't the final boss I will be disappointed
Uh, of course second coil was beaten pretty quickly compared to coil 1. People didn't need to level up main classes, subs, and get mostly i90 gear. Also Turn 5 was broken for like a month and no one could enter it.
I am pretty sure they are going to make it easier, if people think any differently, they must be playing another game. I believe something like t6 which has a good balance of difficulty that the MAJORITY can still beat. T7 and T9 really were tuned for raiders. I hope I am wrong, but I have played this game since launch and all I have learned is that SE will always make things easier.
It mostly likely is not. Someone posted a picture once showing the entire battlefield of T5 which take place in the palm of Bahamut's hand. No way 8 adventurers can kill something that gigantic. Unless they give us giant mechs and we morph into Voltron.

Mwuah, I'm not too convinced SE has the intention to make things easier. The introduction of the savage mode on top of regular SCoB speaks for that I believe. However, I do feel that they're finding it difficult to find exactly to which playerbase they're looking to aim these raids. Storywise giving the raids an integral part of it all, rather than more of a side thing. Yet having clears be well out of reach for many players for a long time to come.I am pretty sure they are going to make it easier, if people think any differently, they must be playing another game.
