Coil Loot Sytem

I love this game, but I'm really starting to get annoyed with Coil now. I cleared T6 for the first time on the 19th May and T7 a month or so later (I'm in Phase 4 of T9 now), apart from September I have been progressing through the turns every week.

I have put aside hours every week to raid and as much as I love downing the fights I would like some reward for my efforts. So why is it that since May I have not had a single drop for the class I actually main, my secondary class is now better geared than my main.

This is over 20 weeks of downing turns without any reward, surely there is a better system that could be implemented here e.g. each player gets a token per turn & 3 tokens get you an item. The current system is really broken and definitely needs something done. I probably wont have any coil drops until the lock out is removed now as I have already done 6-8 this week and have still got nothing.

I love this game but I feel completely cheated by this loot system.

So, none of the gear you need for your Best in Slot has dropped in this time or have you not had priority on any loot since may? If its the first then you're one of the unluckiest players I know...

That's the point of solidery. Your luck has been poor with Coil but during that same time period you could have geared your main completely in Soldiery i110. Not BiS necessarily but THAT is your token system. They'd probably increase tomestone prices and put a fairly high price on Coil gear if they added a Coil token system to offset the guaranteed Coil gear.

So, none of the gear you need for your Best in Slot has dropped in this time or have you not had priority on any loot since may? If its the first then you're one of the unluckiest players I know...

It's exactly that, I never bothered to roll on Sands and Oils at first as I geared up my main and my alt through Hunts really fast and a lot of the guys I used to raid with didn't enjoy them as much. But I've not had a single SCOB drop for my main, it's really gutting.

I finished my main shortly after hunts were introduced, but as a Bard some of the Soldiery gear is kind of weak. My idea for an alternative loot system was off the top of my head, but there must be a way to create a system that is less RNG based. I would even take clearing Turns 6-8 three weeks in a row for one drop, over doing it for 20'ish with none.

It's not broken, you're just not happy with it. Should learn to distinguish these two.

I totally understand how you feel though, I'm in a very similar position - been clearing T6-T9 for over 3 months and not one Best in Slot drop for my main either. I do know the feels..

That moment of pure disappointment after clearing another week and seeing the rest of your static all achieve full Best in Slot is gut wrenching. *consoles*

my MNK member in static never got a single coil loot since i established static from T1 - T9 from 9 months

until in 2.2 when T1 - T5 farming begun

so T6 - T9 will be the same when it will be farmable at 2.4

if you see this then you are not as unlucky as him tbh

Nice input there, good job. Either way I'm sure there are other people who have had similar problems and have similar feelings on the subject to me. A system that would still pad out the amount if kills needed for full coil gear but with less RNG would clearly be a better option. I accept that the RNG Gods have it in for me, but still this is kind of stupid to go through all of 2.2 and 2.3 without a single drop for my main. I still manage to make the DPS checks in T9 without them so it's not the end of the world but all that work for no reward is a killer. There are probably going to be players getting carried when the lockout is removed who will have better gear than me if this keeps up.

I know, it's so hard I even did a /pray to the Bard Gods at the start of every turn this week, still no luck.

Oh god, thats is awful! The first coil wasn't as unkind to me as the second.

Nice input there, good job....

There are others. I waited, not as long, and other members of my raid team have been waiting but that's how the system works. Personally, what I would prefer, is savage mode to have a more flexible loot system since it's more of a challenge. As for normal mode, I don't think it deserves it.
