Put the hand on the forehead
Also make it possible that we can cast with the back to the target again

Or like during 1.xNot unlike FFXI, you should be able to cast with your hands with your weapon holstered. Maybe changeable with a command (i.e. /changecast)?

Would this be possible?

I will add it to the OP, thanks!

I like it the way it is.
I hated how stiff casting looked back in 1.0, casting with our actual weapons seems a lot more fluid and natural.
I agree with Enkidoh
from a Lore point of view it just wouldn't work since we absolutely need our weapons to cast our magic effectively.

Lore wise that wouldn't work either, as both THM and CNJ's lore specifically states the weapon is used as part of the spell casting process - it's used to channel aether from the caster/environment and direct it towards the desired target, like a conduit. ACN is a little different, but even they need their grimoire out, as they need to do calculations in it to generate their spells/summon with.

I am not disagreeing with you. We should have the option to change the pose via a command (/changecast, if you will). The weapon is still on your person, you are just casting it from your hands (like before the Calamity in FFXIV 1.0)I like it the way it is.

In 1.0 it was a bit mixed up anyways. When you cast a spell with your weapon out your mana would not regen at all, this was the major reason people decided to cast without the weapon.
I think it was organically intended to be the other way around but because FFXIV was going to be remade into FFXIV 2.0 ARR they probably decided not to patch it and do so in 2.0 due to new battle mechanics etc.
