Is Zenith the only weapon you can farm atmas with?

Hello! Trying to get an atma with a Nexus but already wasted about 3 hours on it (still far from the worst rng with atmas). Is Zenith the only weapon type/tier that can net you atmas? Ty!

Yup. If you use Atma, you get nothing. If you use Animus, you can get Alex. If you use Novus, you get light.

Reports indicate that you can still obtain Alexandrite from FATEs when farming with a Novus (at a roughly 1% drop rate), though I've not encountered one myself. The rest all checks out though, yeah just Zenith for Atma drops, just like the quest specifies.

Nope. My friend used to farm Atma on PLD with a zenith sword but his novus shield. He made the additional zenith sword strictly for farming Atmas.

They should make it where each weapon can farm that weapin's specific drops, plus the drops of the lesser weapons in the line.

Zenith and above gets Atma.
Atma and above gets Atma.
Animus and above gets Atma, Alexandrite.
Novus and above gets Atma, Alexandrite, Light.
