No i wont deal with it. Its pointless and why just the last 10 lvls is when you can /get/ the gear. Its easy as hell to say hey deal with it, im ranked up already then trying to deal with it now. 40 to an hour queues and if you got a few hours a day you wont rank up for shit. other games have you get in and out and be competitive in the process, having a stat become utterly worthless within its own pvp is a sad siight to see in order to /keep/ competitiveness rendering the armor POINTLESS if you focus on frontlines. these are reasons why the rank system ff14 has does not work.

If you would have taken even some time to read the rant you are seeing im not asking for freebies. if not just being able to use something when i /have/ the points to buy it. not buy something and wait months of my time to even get to use it. Pointless.

wow did it right giving competetive gear and for those who focus on arenas a weekly cap to get better gear to where their position in the latter = being able to get gear faster but still need to work as hard to get their points. while people not so high would take a bit longer to gain the same gear even if they stay in the same position.

I can only get 2 or 3 pvp runs a day, forsaking me from doing dungeons and trails in between. Now you tell me, when ill even be remotely close to being able to use something that will probably be rendered obsolete next patch...

Well for sure its easy to say. But what if i tell you that i am not on max rank at the moment. I am still on rank 33 and did start with pvp 1 1/2 months ago. I try to get around 10.000 exp each week (Thats around 30 fl games with challenge log). If you say you play 2-3 games a day and maybe a few more on weekend, you can still end with around the same exp per week then i do. And honestly, the PvP 40 gear is pure glamour for pve and so its not even close to be obsolete after the next patch. You cant tell me you want it for having slightly better pvp stats in wolfs den (since frontlines doesnt use morale) compared to the Level 90 stuff.

I will for sure need around 3-4 more weeks of playing frontlines. But as long as i enjoy to play frontlines its okay for me. You just have to keep playing for it, then one day you will get it. You can see something like this in every other online game. Let it be a special armor for max rank in Halo or idk a weapon in shooter xy where you have to play years to get it. Its a common way to bind very addicted players to a game so they always have something to work for (Even if it appears to be out of reach). And this part, is very important to almost every online game because players who have nothing to do anymore (Or stuff they can work for) will just quit the game and maybe never come back. And the PvP 40 Gear is currently the last reward you can get in PvP and because of this they made it so "out of reach".

And if you still think you dont have that much time at this moment to get it, just wait half a year and you will be surprised how fast you can get it (Because future PvP maps will give a lot more exp).

You dont get it. other games its work your way up get points, buy gear keep pushing, there is a ladder system to keep people /Interested/ and continue to pvp. DAOC gave benefits for the realm that preformed best, thus insentive to keep pvping.

In ff14 we get jack shit till rank 30 then by38 full armor which we had long ago rotting in our inventory. at 40 we can actually use the pvp wep. but then what. where do we go from there, nothing, no reason to continue, no ladder to climb to keep you competitive. theres NOTHING. the rank system just makes it worse. hit 38 to 40 you dont need to pvp anymore. its over. hence why its pointless. if there was a cap and a ladder system that allowed you to raise your cap every week, armor would take longer to buy due to the cap causing people to focus on 1 job, then have reasons to continue pvp if they desire a different class to focus on. gives those hardcore in pvp more to work for and those who have less time, enough to focus on one job and be competitive.

This is my situation. However instead of complaining on the forums I got home from work queued and played til I had to go to bed (so max 5 games a day) Took me more than 2 months from rank 18 to 39.
This is like the only gear in the game that you actually have to put in effort to get and please don't try to make this another freebie item like token gear already is
