If this is the ultimate pay debacle, that's not in SE's control.

Actually that was/is in SE's control, they CHOSE to remove it after the Ultimate Game Card was cancelled.they did not have to remove it before they had a better solution, they chose to. UltimatePay/Playspan is still there, and they still accept other means of payment including Paypal and that Paysafe card in many countries.

Still doesn't change the fact that OP really should have, at this point in his/her life a debit card. I literally have never met someone over the age of 16 without one.

Not sure if it has been mentioned but both SE's digital store and now Amazon both sell digital 60day time cards (code is emailed to you). SE's digital store will accept Paypal. Paypal will allow you to link your bank account to paypal so you can pay for things straight out of your account. I believe Amazon also has an option to link your bank account in the US as well.

The problem some people have with this is that time cards are for a specific stretch of time, not a specific value.

A legacy member wanting to pay for 6 months for example would be paying significantly more that way. Still, they are looking at direct transactions through Paypal, so they will probably only need to buy 30-60 days until it's all sorted.

Atleast you could still play. I'm legacy and rely on these cards to play due to my current situation. Id rather be able to play the game even if its a few $ more. I realize it's got some downfalls but those downfalls are not enough to make me quit. Atleast I still get all the other perks of legacy. Just means I have to pay the same as a standard account.

fun fact: not all banks offer debit visa or debit mastercard, even in todays world. the OP probably has a debit card just not one usable as a credit card

do note though some people don't want a debit card that can be used as a credit card because they don't trust them(this could be the case of the OP) and believe it or not most banks still offer non cc debit cards if you ask for them.

Usually a credit card needs to be on file for MONTHLY AUTOMATIC SUB payments. I don't see why your way stopped working all of a sudden, but maybe take that card and reload it every month.

he didnt use CC for monthly sub, he doesn't have one. he used crysta, which you add in advance by other means and SE took away the payment method he was using by removing UltimatePay from their options. but then if you actually read the OP you would know that

-I still have crysta on my acc but can't use it up if I choose to resub via prepaid 60 days card
-I bought a 15€ paysafe card already, which I can't use now
-I can't upgrade to the digital collectors edition anymore because it won't work with prepaid cards (I planned to do that to get the mounts)
-60 days are too much for me, since I can't know if I'll still be playing in a month or lose interest and want to take a break.
-Credit cards aren't that widely used in Europe as they are in US and I don't see a point getting one.
-I do have a debit card but I don't like using this method out of personal reasons.

I will resub, either by gamecard or using debit card but like I said, these options aren't very convenient for me. Considering all points mentioned above, it's still a lot of minor inconveniences and I hope they will find a way to add back more payment options.

Credit cards are pure evil. I haven't used one in ages, ( I have 2) so much that they reduced my limit. My bank card works like a CC so I use that mainly. But thinking of scrapping that too, there doesn't seem to be a day that goes by that some store, or online store that has been hacked. I have had to replace my bank card 3 times already due to someone using it. I live in the north east US, my card has been used in Mexico City, New Zealand, and California. "F" the banks and their cards, evil I tell you. I'm driving to SE headquarters here and paying cash for my sub, alot safer.
