Sudden headcanon for FFX. Yojimbo was the dream made when people tried to recreate the Zanarkand hero of ancient times, Gilgamesh. However, like most heroes, Gilgamesh's story had been changed and rewritten and exaggerated so many times that Yojimbo was what they came up with at the point the Aeon was required to be created.

What? No. Gilgamesh isn't some character reinvented each time. It's the same character each time. He didn't have a brother other than Enkidu before so no he won't suddenly get one now. Just because it's in Eorzea now doesn't change the fact that this character transcends eorzea and isn't tied to it's unique lore.
