    Chararcter Generator / Benchmark Transfer

So, I'm going to be returning to the game soon, and I'll want to use a Fantasia to change my characters appearance when I do so. However, I take a rather large amount of time to do this kind of thing, so I wanted to get it done before I subscribe, saves a bit of money that way. I found a benchmark test that also comes with a character generator, but how would I transfer the character generated from that to my proper installation of the game?

Also, I first created a few characters when I got the game on a previous computer. I've re-installed the game, but I might still have the old saved character appearances on the old hard drive I have in the new machine. How would I transfer those, if it's different? Do the saved characters come in a single 'sheet' of which I can only have one present at the time? Or are they somehow saved individually and I can put them all together to look at at once?

I have no problem messing with individual files if need be, and I take all responsibility for any screwups while I try messing with things. Still, I'd definitely prefer if it's just a simple case of "Replace FileX with the same file from the CharGen or previous installation."

Solved it. In case anyone is trying to repeat the incident, the character appearance files are saved under My Games (for Windows 7, at least), at the top of the FFXIV ARR folder. If you're transferring a character saved in the base game to the benchmarker to do what I'm doing, then you'll have to adjust the name. It should be "FFXIV_CHARA_BENCH01.dat" possibly replacing '01' with the proper numbers as needed.

From what I understand, the main game will read the benchmark files just fine, so they can be transferred to the main game without issue. If there is an issue, you should be able to just rename them as "FFXIV_CHARA_01.dat" or the like. This way, I'll be able to get all my character creatin' done before resubscribing. Huzzah, and hope this info proves of use to someone else.
