Game furniture?

Any there any plans for minigame or game-related furniture?
My room/house would not feel complete without a supply of games.

When I mentioned this idea to someone else, the first thing that came to mind for them was a dartboard. I can definitely see FCs messing with this.
And then there'll be that guy who likes sticking his head in the way.

Please help me make that guy's wish come true. Thank you.

Well, a stop gap is the Toybox inside the Inn Room which currently has two minigames available, the old Parley minigame from version 1.0, and another game like Connect 4 whose name I can't remember at the moment (both require quest completion to unlock). A future patch will be adding the Gold Saucer themepark/casino from FFVII as well which will have a wide variety of minigames so just have a little patience.

As for personal minigames, I think I recall seeing it mentioned somewhere here that the Toybox will be made available in personal chambers/houses eventually, but I'm not completely sure about that, so take that with a grain of salt.

I like this idea and was talking about it myself. Adding things to the game like this gives the player more immersion and feel "more at home" so to say. Ultimately people want to be doing things in their FC house, or their personal house, that lets them have fun. Currently with the furniture that's available, you can either turn a light on, or turn it off. There's not too much fun to that.

The idea that you can have furniture in your house that you can interact with in a more than an on/off is wonderful. Having a game within a game is one of those things that people do enjoy doing. Take a look at how popular the Sims is.

People are crying for the Golden Saucer so that they can have fun. Why can't people's homes be fun too? I want to be able to interact with other players at home. Not just stare alone at a Toybox. Take a look at Destiny's lobby soccer ball, or the low gravity ball. People flock to it just to kick the ball for hours. People mess with things because they're there.

Let's say a dartboard gets put in. Even if there is no real mini-game that you could play with it, the fact that it's there adds a lot of character to the atmosphere. Jukebox, bubble machine, fog machine, etc. All things that could just be sitting around that "brighten" up the setting. Right now the only things that shout playful in a house is.... Well... What is there?

Back to actually having interactive things available to the house. Using the /throw emote on said dartboard. Having random objects that can be moved about the house freely by visitors. The idea of having games like skeet ball machines indoors, or a basketball hoop outside, that have mechanics like 1.0's gathering system. Having the Inferno Ifrit head breathing fire upon usage. The list can go on forever.

Houses would really become more exciting and fun when you can do more than just tending a garden, or turning lights on or off.

Well, you can play music on the manor instruments. Making them is expensive, though.

No you can't play music on instruments in the traditional sense. Instruments in this game are no different than using lights. You turn them on and they do their thing temporarily. If you could play an instrument by actually choosing notes to be played, then instruments would be more than just aesthetic pleasure. You don't have people flocking around the current instruments because they don't do anything that makes people that want to using them, or to be hanging around the house.

It's like the Leviathan fountains. You turn them on and you get a show for a second. Then you walk away since there's nothing truly interactive about it. If the fountain shot different sprays, different colors, intensities, or if you could direct the direction of the spray.

Uh.. I'm not asking specifically for minigames or interactive furniture.
I want furniture associated with games. (Although interactive game-related furniture would be nice.)

If I'm going to have a space to call my own, then I want to color it with my interests. I don't have much RL interest in hot tubs, trophies, allegiance, etc. I'd rather build a little gaming corner/room/den because that's more in my interest.

I like playing games in my house.
In my game, I'll have a house.
I want a game in my house in my game in my house.

A dartboard would be cool! Yet another use for the /toss emote!
