Thread: Your feelings on patch 1.16

I thought that SE wanted our feedback, and discussion? Did I read that interview excerpt wrong?

Over all I would give this Patch a 7/10 (Average patch)

I would give Side Quest a 7/10
-Typical MMO side quest nothing fancy.
-Has lore to it but nothing really important.

Targeting 8/10
-Helps a ton on all classes except conj, the losing the ability to click names to target is horrible again. But 6 improved 1 hurt.

Mob Size 6/10
-I love being able to see the detail on mobs better but some things are just so disproportional big now it lost a lot of that realism feel the game had. Why are the rats and marmots the size of a Lalafell? Why are skeletons bigger then the largest humanoid model?

MP Regen 7/10
-Unneeded if you actually level multiple classes, but it does help mages when they start out.

Agro Sign 5/10
-Looks tacky and is unneeded. People need to learn the environment. This is not catering to the casual it is catering to the retarded. If it must be there make it look better, serious it is worst looking thing in the entire game atm.

Other 8/10
-Cobyln Nerf 8/10: I see this as a good thing, the game is more the killing cobylns. Maby now people will stop just spending all day in the mines and broken water.
-Journal Update 8/10: Makes it easier to see everything at one click, I feel hat was a good update.
-Everything else is too minor for me to mention.

well I can say it sucks i cant even get the damn game to wrok 20524 error thn do every thng i searched for and nthg.. iom tired of having to reinstall ever time this happens geez

What giant rats did you fight in ffxi? How much more epic is it to kill a giant rat?

over 1000. and the old rat model made them look like critters not mobs. And I played ffxi from ps2 launch day till last week. Due to money issues. I bought CE due to a pc probs can't play ffxiv yet. I do want to. Fact of the matter is I seen what most ppl see. And i personally don't feel it is that big of a deal. I'm easy going in games.

I've also seen worst mmo's then ffxiv. I also know everything that went wrong with ffxiv including stuff everyone failed to consider.
I put money into ffxiv like everyone did. Or i wouldn't beable to post here.

And really how many complainers actually play the game anymore?

Patch itself had some really good updates and fixes but the Quest portion irritated me a lot. They lied to us. We asked them for story and then they gave us these quests that are no way "similar." Which have no storyline what-so-ever.

Sorry to hear that, you guys did ask for quests. you got quests.
How many ppl actually read the npc convo?

the epic quests will come out after the battle revamp. Not before. Maybe the side quests have lore you just not seeing it.

But I digress sorry, just annoyed at this commuty. Least you have quests to do. instead of nothing be greatful for what you got instead of alwas what you lack.

I don't need to be grateful for anything. Square-Enix depends on me and the other people of this community for FFXIV to stay alive. If anything they should be grateful we have given them this long. In which case will not be much longer if they keep dishing empty promises. This game already is at the point of ghost worlds.
