    Can something be done about ST Que?







    Serious I would do ST more if I don't have to play the clicking game. Just stand there and click, click, click all day and never get in. It drive me absolutely insane.

    There always a few DPS who think it funny, and keep click withdraw at the last seconds when the last DPS need to click to troll people.


    Either add a penalty, even a small one is fine if you que and don't click Commence, or can't you just do it like Frontline que? Or get them in que even if they don't click commence? Then if they AFK during ST, we can vote to kick them off? After Month of putting up with ST que, I'm about to quit this game because I don't want to play stupid clicking game all day long.


    SE, you can't have Raids when people do this. What will happens when you released more Raid 25 man Dungeons. Will this trend still continue?

    As in other threads posted about this same topic, I'm all for adding a short lockout timer when withdrawing from duty several times in a given time frame. Don't make it too big, but make it big enough so that A) the in-progress fishers can't, well, fish as much, and B) potentially make people more attentive of their Duty Status window. Having it grow longer after continued withdrawals would work as well. To counter the argument of "but what about the people who have emergencies?" - give some leeway, maybe 3 withdraws, before actually applying penalties. Someone who actually does have an emergency won't be re-queueing more than once.

    Yes it's very annoying. There should be a big penalty for withdrawing, or letting it time out, more than 3 times. I do mean big.... 30 min at the very least. Sorry but, don't even apply for it if you anticipate having to go away from your keyboard/gamepad. For those super rare emergencies (and yes, such cases are rarer than people generally think) where bad lucks strikes you three times in a row and you have tor leave, well.... tough luck. It happens. Better that one person than rest 23 that queued.

    It worries me when people can click withdraw before I even see the window pop up, how do you do that so fast? Yeah its annoying, its especially annoying if you've been queueing for an hour, DF pops, someone withdraws and your new est time is 1 hour (and yes, it takes another hour to fill that last slot) >>

    See, when I queue up for ST, it's mostly tanks I see withdrawing while the healers and DPS have been waiting.

    But, I do agree that it is quite annoying when you're waiting for ST, it pops and you get all excited except to have someone withdraw and then you're back to waiting.

    Why do you presume this? I've personally had to withdraw at the last seconds a few times due to the amazing system where you can't accept the window while in a menu or cutscene, because unfortunately I don't know how long a cutscene is for, so I can't always finish it in time. Maybe the other people playing the games aren't all sitting there just waiting for the window popup, maybe, just maybe, they're doing other things instead.

    Someone mentioned in my FC that it is probably just the same guy trying to fish for an in-progress run so he can get the sands faster. They withdraw when they see its not in-progress, and just try again.

    This. Which is a major flaw in the way this game allows for people to queue up or join friends in an in-progress run. Not only for ST, but for any type of dungeon. If they have a role lacking, they cannot directly invite you. A gamble of getting in is joining using the in-progress queue. However, the in-progress queue pools you up not just on actual in-progress runs, but also in the overall pool.

    Trying to join an in-progress run as a tank, and hopefully ending up in the correct one, usually comes down to first turning down 10 - 20 or so fresh runs.

    Therefore simply locking out after a few turndowns of pops also isn't a great solution on itself. If SE would do that, they should at the same time also come with the possibility for players to invite friends directly into an ongoing dungeon group.
