That's quite unfortunate, but Yoshi-P already said that he wanted to use numbers instead of the -ra and -aga suffixes to prevent confusion for FF new fanbase

I'm just some guy...
EDIT: Traditional numbers were used instead the suffixes in the older FF titles, well for the English titles as much as I know, so you can see it as getting back to the original roots![]()

This was mostly due to character limitations inherent in older games, and was changed to standard names in every game after VIII, including remakes of every game in the series but VII (the only one with no remake). Official English translations of the original, II, III, IV, V, VI, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, and all Tactics games use the standard naming, only XIV uses the numbering system instead.
Plus their reasoning is ridiculous to boot. "III" sounds like it's better than "II," which does not make things easier on newer players at all.
FFV PS1 version says, Fire, Fire2, Fire3, Ice, Ice2, Ice3, Bolt, Bolt2, and Bolt3.

Basically, Playstation 1 version of FFV will be named with numbers, the GBA version will have -ra, -ga suffixes. Which is the case.

@Liar liar pants on fire.
Keep trying to make yourself seem special and above us mere mortals. I played the first one when i was 5 and i never said i was above anyone in general all im saying is it pisses me off how se isnt even trying to please there older fans they only give A DAMN ABOUT GETTING NEW PEOPLE WHO HAVENT EVEN PLAYED OTHER FINAL FANTASY and the only ppl im above is the people who havent played at least 1-8 ff
can always repost it and u know happans when some fool is civil its pushed to side as if nothing at the least they can do is add a option in the char settings to choice which one we use the suffix or numb
Which is funny because the Japanese and German versions use -ra -ga, French using something weird and English being the only ones who use II, III.
Yeah, so when you think about it, the whole "prevent stress" and "prevent confusion" excuses we get are ....basically to be "Considerate" to the english player base.
