Not to be rude OP and I hope not to offend anyone else by saying this but are you seriously judging spelling methods? Let them name the spells how they wanna name them... as long as Fire ain't giving you Blizzard effect or graphics then does it matter? >_>
I'd think that it's "Working as intended." on this one. There will probably even be IV spells if we're lucky in the future so please look forward to it! OP.

				It's funny how some people jump out to over defend and over justify something as simple as names, just because ARR can do nothing wrong.
Anyway, they used to have -ra -ga suffixes in 1.18 onwards before getting changed back for simplicity at least in the English client. It's one of the first things I hope UI mods address, whenever those are coming since it's been almost 2 years since they were promised and still nothing.
Yeah, they aren't changing it. Good thing too. I'll be happy to know something this small bothers you and OP so muchIt's funny how some people jump out to over defend and over justify something as simple as names, just because ARR can do nothing wrong.

ARR does plenty wrong, it's dependent on perspective. Some people like ARR regardless of flaw and others don't, we're free to have opinions and different likes.It's funny how some people jump out to over defend and over justify something as simple as names, just because ARR can do nothing wrong.

Because it is something as simple as names and both have been used in Final Fantasy as a series regardless of reasons then there shouldn't be a problem with leaving it as Fire II or Fire III unless changing the name will magically buff up our spells.
Plenty of things had small changes from 1.1x so it's not like this is the first nor is it entirely deal-breaking.

Funny how you seem to hate this game enough to never ever post anything even close to positive about it, yet you still play.It's funny how some people jump out to over defend and over justify something as simple as names, just because ARR can do nothing wrong.

I just think it's funny that people are riding SE's junk so hard that they are completely fine with SE thinking their English speaking brains are too stupid to comprehend spell suffixes.
If SE thought that then in my honest opinion, we would of never had FF9 or FF10 with ra or ga spells... I am not defending them but it doesn't make sense to say they are too dim to understand these things! then a few yrs down the road say here you go, you dim gamers!
I don't see anything in the choice of changing things up every now and then that implies we're dumb, but I could be absolutely wrong in my thought on that and SE could come out one day to say word for word that the west just don't understand simple concepts. >_>;
Edit: Also a recent game that released..... Theatrhyhm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call has Fira as well.
