Please be considerate to newer players!

I was running Tam-Tara Deepcroft(Hard) as White Mage the other day on DF and got a newbie i90 Paladin as Tank. DPS were i110 Black Mage and i110 Monk.

    Hell broke loose....

Black Mage was blasting Flares and Fire IIs without letting the Tank grab aggro properly.
Monk went all out on cooldowns on the Boss and thus grabbing aggro. Did not stop even when the Tank is trying to grab the aggro back.
I had to heal them since their HP was dropping constantly so I ended up grabbing a lot of aggro as well.
I did use Shroud of Saints but did not help much since it's happening with every bunch of mobs and Shroud sits on a 2mins cooldown.

In short, everyone else was tanking mobs except for the Paladin.

Ultimately we cleared the dungeon, but that poor tank was having such a difficult time.

Please be considerate to newer players! Just because you have superior gear doesn't mean you can "bully" newer players and give them such a hard time.

Note: I did ask the Tank if he was new to tanking and he said yes. Black Mage and Monk were fully aware of this fact as well.

    That is so true.

But don't tell the speed runners. They will hate you and me and everyone else that tells them to slow down. I've seen these crazy fools vote kick a healer because, after the firs boss on SV HM, the healer was telling them to slow and needed some time to recharge MP, but they went ahead aggroed the mobs and wiped the party.

To all tanks, if the over-geared fools are grabbing aggro, they own the mob they got. No amount of flashing provoke will get them back, it will be like whack a mole. Get one back only to lose another. And don't bother numbering the mobs either, these mega-AOE numbskulls will blast everything and get aggro. If they start cussing at you, just report them to the GM for verbal abuse.

BLMs and BRDs learn to use your quelling strike please. Gee whiz.

Did anyone say anything during this dungeon run? Did you or the tank ask the dps to back off a little when attacking or let the tank obtain aggro before attacking? Communication is key. If you or the tank did say something and the dps decided they didnt want to listen, well, sorry to say there isn't much else you can do unless you want to kick them. But my advice is to grin and bear it.

New to tanking, or new to the dungeon? 'Cause even when my WAR was undergeared, I could hold threat against other people just fine when they outgeared me by a great margin. >_>

And you know what these people on farm status want? They want a "no newbies allowed" checkbox. They say, if you never cleared it before, then they don't want you there to slow them down. I don't know how people can think they are so special, that they are allowed to treat newer players with contempt like that.

As a DPS, I observe what my fellow party members can do. (And since I'm currently leveling up Bard, even more so.) If I notice that the tank had difficulty with me going pants-on-head crazy with Flares and AOEs, then I hold back. If the tank and healer can handle it, then I'm like "KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOY STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONESKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN!" Better safe than sorry, after all.
