    Of course, personally I feel these choices should be almost permanent (I do say almost, not completely), because I'm not a fan of people changing their minds every 10 seconds about what they want in life. Take a little longer to think about what you want first instead of impulsively bouncing around, and you may not need to change everything so often.

    Of course, I'm sure there are plenty who would want to see a continuous ability to be able to switch round (ie: no consequences for actions). As long as we see a system like that suggested by the OP, I could live with that
    Except, FF Online's hook is being able to switch around at will. Would XI be the same if in order to switch from RDM to WHM you had to do something silly like sacrifice a goat at midnight on a full moon?

    Very little should be permanant in a game where your character can, and should experience everything. And let's not forget this is a GAME, and not real life and the choices you make shouldn't have some grand, significant aspect to your growth as an individual.

    This is what I like about FF Online, this so-called freedom to play any job based on my whims. Because lord knows playing the same job and doing the same thing is boring. And the choice to switch every now and again is refreshing and important to keep.

    And people, I think it's important to note that these jobs are just names. Paladin could be templar for all it matters. Traditional jobs are just for recognition, and while I dislike shoe-horning the names in, it isn't as important as what the concept is.
