Wow, bravo. /golfclap
That would be a really nice screen for the traits/points. lol
(Post has been vanquished by MoG)
Let's say your PUG was specced into a 50 MNK and you decided you wanted to play NIN instead. Assuming you have done the quest for NIN you would simply remove your talent points. When you remove all your points your stats go down to what they would be for 50 base PUG and your MNK specific traits/abilities will be unequipped. You then put those points into NIN and you can then play a 50 NIN.
Thanks for the kind comments all

You just made my heart flutter a bit. FFXII license board was amazingHere's an idea I had for an FF12 style License Board:

I believe Kuroki is only talking about talent points in this case. He is not speaking of stat points.
One additional note. I'm all in favor of being able to redistribute/reallocate points. But the timer would have to be adjusted. If you're switching melee classes it is not a big deal, but if you're a CON, and want to switch to MAU or GLA, it takes 4-6 hours depending on your level just to get all of your base points from physical level back.
I was talking stats that are buffed from certain trains in the MNK tree (like +10% STR or something) but I'm not taking Physical Level and stat allocation into consideration for this. That clearly has to go altogether in favor of predefined class stats like we had in FFXI. As it stands, they don't work and it's entirely separate issue. :/
Changing specs I feel should be something people could do whenever they want like changing classes. You should also have presets so that at the click of one macro you can equip all your talents/traits/abilities/armors sets for that specific spec.
Rhianu I'm posting that in OP and giving you credit for it cause I honestly could not have done that better.
As much as I think SE should work with the original classes this seems pretty solid. Although I"m not sure if I like the idea being locked out of one path if I take the other.
I never said you would. I said you could reset your points and put them into the other path assuming that you finished the initial quest. This is about making people flexible by giving viable choices not limiting them to one path completely. lol >.>
Oh, nevermind then xD
I support this concept, and I would like to suggest that it be reviewed by the development team.
