    Speaking of FFT style unloocks, maybe you should have other classes ranked up. For example:

    Paladin/Dark Knight
    R30 Gladiator
    R10 Conjurer
    R10 Thaumaturge

    Warrior
    R30 Marauder
    R10 Gladiator

    Dragoon
    R30 Lancer
    R10 Gladiator

    White/Black Mage
    R30 Conjurer
    R15 Thaumature

    Samurai
    R30 Lancer
    R10 Lancer

    Think you get what I"m going at.

    That would promote horizontal growth for characters which I'm obviously for going by my class levels but it doesn't lend itself well for casual players. They may see it as too much grinding before they get to do what they set out to do.

    Would work much better if the base class level to flag the quest was reduced to 20. 20 and 10 isn't that outlandish.

    OH! ok escribir realmente lento... y post, algo similar, solo que si se hace como job avanzado, es que tendrá aun los defectos del anterior o habilidades que no le pertenecen, yo prefiero que se vaya mas parecido al FFXI, porque muchos hubieran preferido un FFXI-2 aquí les pongo algo que había sugerido yo http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-s-and-pvp-pve

    Either way works. Then I started thinking of the lore/story that could be mixed in with these Tactic unlocks.

    Gladiator's storyline could be about how they found a way to infuse the Dark Arts of Thaumaturge into a sword for Dark Knight.

    This way theres actually a reason to have the pre-reqs instead of them being an arbitrary roadblock.

    I disagree with the link for the fact it seems too close to ffxi for me with an added mix for pvp(which also im not a fan of for a ff game). PvP should either stay out of XIV or implemented years from now. PvP is just not what FF games are about and will cause a lot more balancing issues(i think there are enough issues as is).

    This is an awesome idea! I love the license board idea! It gives people the ability to fit into one classic class or mix and match. I hope they would consider doing this.

    You wouldnt be able to mix and match right from the start because that would lead to what we have now: people picking whats best from each and putting it all together.

    You will have a set number of points that must be spent in BLM before you could spend any in WHM and RDM. And to keep the chance of exploiting low you limit that to things lower down the ladder in WHM and RDM. I wouldn't want to see a BLM running around with Cure IV or Refresh. Get what I mean? This is whats killing the classes now.

    @ bersha-sensei While theres a place for PvP in the future of this game - it is certainly not now. PVP when it is introduced needs to be in a controlled environment and not open world for balancing issues how they did it in XI (except more fun).

    Your suggestion would turn XIV into XI-2 with PVP in it which is not what I'm for.

    I had a small fright when the words 'talent tree' were used (I really hate WoW's trees, it's pretty much an illusion of customisation), but those look great!

    Something like this would really help make the game unique whilst adding a relevance and quality that's expected in a modern MMO.
