I can't get behind this system in that way because it limits what a base weapon class can become.

If it was open where any Weapon can be used by any job specialist I'd support it.

I would greatly appreciate it if a community rep could bring this thread to a dev's attention so they could chyme in and give their own take or let us know what they have in mind in regards to classic FF classes.

If I have a better understanding of which route they are willing to go with, I could probably come up with something better. It would also let other players better formulate their ideas instead of making random suggestions like FFT unlocks.

I support this idea, the first two posts by Kurokikaze, about the talen trees/specialization.

i'm not to sure if this such a good idea, tanlet trees are some what annoying i find.

Talent trees are just way to relate to other MMO players. Call it something else if you wish and it'll be the same thing.
