That's exactly why I don't log in every day.

Moment I feel I have to do something, like Ixali Oaknots, I take a break and just forget about that content. When I come back I do it if I feel like it. I'll be 150 years old by the time I get enough Sealant, but at least it wont have felt too much like a chore.

I don't I log in for raids and to cap currency. There is nothing else to do until they actually give us relevant content.

I stick around because I'm holding out a glimmer of hope that they will get serious with the expansion and give us more than an hour of content a week.

There's far more than that already. Just because you don't like content doesn't make it nonexistent.

Ok I'm sorry I'll fix that..

An hour of RELEVANT content. Content that will improve my character. Content that will offer some form of progression.

    Crafting!

I log in and craft craft craft! Some gathering in case I need mats...so I can craft craft craft some more. I love seeing my crafted gear with my name on them.
Writing down what I'm crafting on my excel sheets, if they're used for leves, if I need them as well, etc.. Seeing that beautiful check mark on my logs. (I'm playing for completion right now)

I also enjoy Guildhests (yup, you read it right) and doing a few fates/leves here and there. Looking at wikis and seeing all the quests for a specific class/level listed show up on my Completed Leve log.

Those are the main reasons I log in ^^ That and of course my wonderfully nice FC.

Will those reasons change over time? Most likely, but for now that's enough to satisfy me.

Wow, looks like we have some very bitter people on the forums today that are using almost every post they can find to complain... This was "supposed" to have been a positive thread.

But to keep with the OP: I log in as often as I am able because I find the game quite enjoyable. I have no idea how I would classify myself (hardcore, casual, pointless labels that really say nothing) but I have three level 50's and dabble in other jobs and crafts, there is so much to do cause i savor it instead of burn through it like a rabid dog. I'm up to date on Hildy quests, almost up to date again on story quests (heading for shiva now!) and I've really been enjoying the PvP. i play a lot of the time with my son's (three of them have accounts and we raid as a family) and i'm trying to get my wife interested too. i'm starting to get serious about crafting so I can make some gear and do melding etc.

but ya, i log in when ever i can to run as my Tank and help new people learn how to play. There is no greater "hardcore" challenge than helping a "noob" get better in a supportive way. Since Tanks are in such a demand, I always have something to do.

But if you are the kind of person who "has nothing to do" or "this game isnt fun" then i would ask you why you play in the first place? I play games to have fun, once they stop being fun, i stop playing. End of story. I don't feel entitled enough to throw a hissy fit cause a game isnt how I think it should be. It's not my game made for me, by me. Until I make my own game I will just enjoy what i like and ignore the rest.

This is a good question, and come to think of it it's really only to make Gil to furnish my house. Once that is done I'm not too sure, the need to fulfill tome cap is certainly not enough to get me to log in o.o'
