Achievement points and the eternal gear grind

Achievement points and the eternal gear grind

I find the game fun. Not everyone needs a carrot on a stick to enjoy an mmo.
I already have a job that pays me money. When a video game starts to feel like a job that takes my money, I'll stop playing it. I never understood the raider progression mentality.

And I'll never understand this mentality(or whatever it is). I enjoy progression raiding. It's fun and doesn't feel like a job to me. lol

I wanted to try to finally get a couple craft classes an i70 weapon. Failed a vanya silk HQ (gotta get the book for weaver), threw my arms up, yelled an obscenity that starts with f and ends with k, and logged out.
The daily grind. That's all I ever do anymore. Occasionally when I'm really bored I'll do some crafting that I've been putting off for too long, like last week when I finally unlocked the six original master recipe books that I had never gotten around to crafting the 2-star ingredients for (for which I already had the extra crispy demimateria recipe books).
I don't expect much from 2.4, but I'm hoping that the expansion will add a lot of good stuff and also be not too far off. I can only keep to a holding pattern for so long before I break. @_@
