This is a good question, and come to think of it it's really only to make Gil to furnish my house. Once that is done I'm not too sure, the need to fulfill tome cap is certainly not enough to get me to log in o.o'

Where to start right now trying to fully meld my crafting classes plus gathering almost done with culinarian. I just bough a house so getting into housing and soon gathering. Still have to get my paladin nexus ugh and halfway done with warrior novus.
I'm logging in just to cap my tomes. 2.4 didn't offer much in terms of new long-time content. I love the game, but I kind of ran out of content to do and its still over 2 months till the next patch. There is absolutely nothing that can keep up my interest for that long. Now would be a good point to take a break. But due to the removal of ultimate pay option I was forced into buying a 60 days card so that would be a monthly sub completely wasted.

Fun. Unending daily entertainment. etc. etc. et cetera.Sorry if it has been posted elsewhere on the forums. I'm just curious with all the bad thoughts on the game in the forums what keeps people logging in? I love the game even though I just came back after a LONG break that I couldn't help. So what keeps you keep playing?

A human resistance to change and adherence to routine combined with Stockholm syndrome, mild addiction, and a dread of the concept that the time and effort invested in hopes of the game improving were in vain.
Also to cap Poetics and ride the roller coaster that is farming dailies for Sealant.

I actually got tired of grinding for tomes, in fact, I've only obtained 90 poetics total since the patch dropped. However, I love the game so much, I didn't want to take a break. So what I did was make a new character on 2 other servers, and I'm having a blast all over again, even to the point where I haven't logged into my main character in the past week.

I do the roulettes for capping poetics tomes and getting soldiery to level up the alt classes. Do ST and content good for getting nexus lights, in less that two weeks, done (Edit: I mean, in less than two weeks from now, after a super long grind of months I hope it will be done.) Go leveling the classes that are not yet level 50. Craft a bit and look at the retainers. Tend the garden, harvest and sell, plan crosses. To do list: finally do T5, I reach near the final phase but don't find the moment to do another PF group. Also to do: reach three star crafting and patiently progress with the crafters, no rush for a huge grind. Disciples of land very low level yet. Beast tribes undone except Ixal.
Also to chat a bit with friends and do content together if we can.
I don't like the feeling of "having to do something". So sometimes I focus more on important things, others I go and do side stories or try to obtain minions, or level up a low class. With crafters I leveled one and then waited a long time to level the next one and did other things. New things appear before I do the previous ones.
I like poetics tomes (as also soldiery before and unlike mythology one year ago) are capped easily without much effort, so you have time to do other things, much less sensation of doing only what you "have to do".

Habit.. I guess? I'm no longer genuinely enjoying the game, I convince myself that I have to finish x or y because its fun and challenging, but its because I got nothing better to do D': I have this phase from time to time, I hope I get over it soon.
