New Dye Screenshots

I don't know, looks like vinyl to me. Equally something you don't wear much of for long periods of time.

I got the new white Color. It is a tad whiter than the White that was in the Game before so nothing spectacular. It is nice that you can dye 2 items with the color you receive. But if you send 4 retainers on quick ventures, it burns down your venture Tokens so quick YUCK. Need to refill them soon but I want to at least get and try out the Silver Color.

Has it been confirmed what retainer ilvls (or gathering score) that it takes to actually receive the dyes from the quick ventures? I have an i80 and a i82 retainer and I haven't gotten anything.

Also, what is this message you are suppose to get and when do you see it?

I kinda figured it would end up taking i90-100+ retainers to get this stuff since I haven't seen anything yet and people that I know that have gotten stuff have said their retainers were higher than i90.

i have my GLD at i88 i believe and she has brought back 4 pure white dyes... Miner is well over the final 383 gathering but has brought back nothing. Both have the same you have a chance to find rare items message and both pure whites were picked though a quick venture, not the 18hr one.

I appreciate your efforts, but those screenshots were all taken either in poor light conditions (night, shadowed areas, near Battle Effects lights), or while wearing one of those glowy armors/weapons which really mess up.

If anyone has screenshots under normal light, I'd love to get an idea of how these colors actually are.

I feel like this is coming off rather brash and rude. No one had to post their screenies here, and the OP never asked for people to try and post "specific" lighting or day/night conditions. Was just a thread for people to show off their new acquired dyes, and what they've used on them so far. These are what the colors really are and look like, just under lighting conditions that you don't personally like it seems.

MY bad, I should have quoted him, but I was referring to the OP's screenshots in particular, and I think my tone was polite as well. It's not that I don't "like" the screenshots. They were just all taken in situations in which the lighting distorted the color and how much it stands out on sight. My sight is physically impaired as I cannot divine colors correctly to my sight under most of altered light situations or when other sources of brightness mix with the color I want to look at, that's why I asked.

I wish people didn't jump at each other's throats and assume that everyone is an asshole just because they're not "zomg excited" at one's post. If you're being defensive about your own screenshots, rest assured I didn't even look at them.

He does has a point. Though this is the photographer in me agreeing with him. I seen many a screen shots not matter the amount of HQ graphics in here ruined because of bad lighting ^^.

As far as I know, as long as you're getting the message "Your retainer's current gear should improve chances of finding rare items." upon completing a venture you should be able to get them. The message shows up just after the received item message. I'm pretty sure it's just a really, really slim chance. I just got lucky, for once. Months of clearing T6-8 and only one Casting drop, but hey I got some silver dye! x.x lol

Dyes and anything else thats worth gil is the Atma of the Venture RNG :| (just worse)

As far as I know, as long as you're getting the message "Your retainer's current gear should improve chances of finding rare items." upon completing a venture you should be able to get them. The message shows up just after the received item message. I'm pretty sure it's just a really, really slim chance. I just got lucky, for once. Months of clearing T6-8 and only one Casting drop, but hey I got some silver dye! x.x lol

My retainer 1 is close to ilvl90 and I have never seen this message xX
