Siphon MP whenever you can, if you don't have it set, set it.question about MP cuz i honestly dont know...
ok i havent done the dungeons yet and only played a good 4 days on my THM before i decided to wait for 1.19
stygian spikes doesnt seem to give very much MP back and ethers are pretty much useless. exhaltation is great but its a 10 min cool down. standing replenishes MP but that makes you a bad mage if your in a party.
so, if your in a long fight or a long run and your constantly running out of MP, what do you do? stygian spikes doesnt do me any good in a party, ethers are useless and alot of MP useage happens within a 10 min cooldown.
so what are the mages currently doing in party situations for MP regen after nuking/enfeebling/healing for so long?
Besides that, not much you can do aside from what you already mentioned.

inb4 threads that the Miqote pose is detracting from the game, amidst screams for a nerf, followed by a pose nerf and butthurt about the pose nerf, causing Square-Enix to re-release the poses but they cost MP to use now, and then whining about the MP.

Getting the TP increased from 250 to 500 wasn't that bad(honestly it was the right thing to do), but now the damage being extra reduced for non LNC and longer recast time is poopie.

Well.
Maybe it's like this: They're increasing the base damage (damage modifier or whatever) of the skill. This would increase it for EVERYONE who equips it, Lancer or not. To offset that increase for other classes, they make the cross-class penalty a bit harsher. The damage might not go down for cross-class feint, etc, but it won't go up either. The wording used indicates that to me (although it is translated from Japanese so who knows)
Am I the only one excited about hiding the log during cut scenes? It's like a dream come true for me! I guess it's just because I'm such a screenshot-whore ':/
I'm also thrilled that skills are getting powered up. And I love that using a certain classes own skills will improve potency. Definitely makes using one class over another worth it, as opposed to just leveling it to get the skills. I still think MP costs for Cures should come down just a little, tiny bit. But overall I'm still happy with the MP costs.
So, I don't really remember what the water on the ferry looks like. What's the big deal? Why is it getting changed?
When is that summer event coming anyway? Summer is going to be over before I get to rock some swim trunks!
Now the only two things I'm hoping to see are saved skill set-ups for each class and reduced item damage. Really, I hate resetting my skills every time I change classes, especially in a game that encourages changing often. And I can't stand feeling apprehensive every time I need to go into battle because I don't want to deal with anymore gear damage. I mean, don't remove damage all together, just lessen it.
All in all, though, a really surprisingly pleasing patch! Thanks, SE!
