I'm Confused isn't Home point the exact same thing as Going to a Camp and setting your camp/Node there and the "Returning" to it?

Yes, but the way I read it is that if you are doing a leve or dungeon the return point is temporary for that node or entrance; i.e. you can set a proper home point say at Ul'dah or Gridania, and once finished with your leves/dungeon run return for nothing
