    Point Allotment per class?!

    When are we getting this? It's so irritating not being able to put my mage classes to good use because all my stats are in melee. It's been in discussion for a long time I'm just wondering when will it be? 1.19?

    I never really understood what was the point of having this in the first place when the devs knew we would be leveling up multiple classes. But whatever, as usual we are always placed with more cumbersome nonsense instead of going with an intuitive route.

    1.19 they just said they'd abolish phys level , ranks become levels, and you will receive points for point allotment every time you level up on a DoW/DoM/DoL/DoH. As I currently have read, there are no plans to let you create separate builds for every class.

    Sounds nice if this is what they're doing. Makes me feel more like I'm playing with one character that I can slowly build rather than changing the stats within my character all the time. It also sounds more like XI skill-points of which I'm a big fan of.

    This doesn't make sense. If this were true, then anyone who gets 3 or more classes to lv50 will become a God. It's going to be point allotment on a per-class basis.

    Example:

    - Your LNC is lvl 20, your CON is lvl 46
    - You switch to LNC and have 50 pts you can allot into any stats you choose, you lvl up to 21 and gain another 2 pts to distribute
    - You decide to switch to your CON for a while, you have 300 pts you can allot into any stats you choose, you lvl up to 47 and gain another 6 pts to distribute
    - Both classes save the configurations separately, and have the option of reassigning the stats within a given time period (like now) except that reassign applies only to the class you are presently playing on

    That's it. It allows for one character to play multiple classes effectively (as was intended) whilst preventing players who lvl multiple classes from amassing 1000+ pts to use and become a superpower with 174 in everything. This way it ensures that all players on a lvl 50 class have the same (350 for example) number of points to distribute, so no one gets an unfair advantage.

    they should just make it fixed stats, and use the ablitys you can buy from guilds to adjust the stats..

    I'm betting money when they remove physical level more people are going to whine about the game being too hard since you wont have lv50 stats all the time.

    Dear God no. If they do it that way, then Conjurers will be in their 'rightful boot-licking place' with below 50 VIT. Having the ability to distribute points the way one likes is the way to go, it allows for the person to be either Solo-centric or party-centric whenever they like while still being at the mercy of a reset timer,.

    It also avoids the inevitable "required gear set" elitist bullcrap that plagued XI. And no one wants that. Seriously. Except maybe you of course.

    Either way, giving people the illusion of choice is better than cookie-cutter classes. I know I'd rather be obstinate and have 100 points in VIT (or whatever they'll scale it down to) than to have a pre-determined amount set every level for me.

    You never always had level 50 stats anyway. They always got capped based on your rank.

    Each stat will have a more profound effect on what they cover, so putting on gear that gives you STR + 6 will actually make a noticeable change in damage output.

    Each rank getting separate builds, with their own amount of attribute points based on their ranks is the way to go. Offers customization while removing the need to commit to certain classes.
