    FFXIV Problem transfering character without changing name

    So i had an old character on Excalibur with the same name which i use for my main character on Phoenix.
    I dont really care about the old character so i wanted to move my main to Excalibur instead- so i deleted the old one on Excalibur.
    Now when i go to the transfer service it tells me that i will have to change my name of my 'main' character upon transfering it to Excalibur.

    Will i not be able to keep my name somehow when there is no character with that name on the server that i am transfering to?
