Ps3 to Ps4 I screwed up

Alright so back in february I bought the ps3 version of FF: a realm reborn on my old PSN account but since then I made a new one which I use on the ps4. When I saw the promotion to get the game upgrade for free I did it with my new one forgetting that I had not bought the game with that one. I redeemed the code and downloaded the game everything was fine until I started the app. After the version checkup the game asks me to register my game with the promotion code in the package.

After that remembering my old PSN I tried starting the game with this one instead. I could get farther then but after I tried logging in with my square account it asked me the same thing as before : to register with the promotion code.

I would really like to play on my new ps4 account. Is there a way to fix this? I sent a ticket to square support but never had an awnser.

EDIT : I also notice that a FFARR service appears in the services section on the ps4 for the old account but not on the new one.

Unfortunately your Squeenix account is tied to your old PSN account so you HAVE to use that one. If you did the upgrade correctly on the Mog Station and it seems you did, you should be able to log into the game just fine on PS4 using your old account.

Sadly I seem to have not made the upgrade correctly. I redeemed the code square gave me on the new account instead of the old one. This seems to have created a conflict between the two.

On my old account the game starts I get to the launcher but when I log In it asks me to register my copy.

On the new one I cannot even get passed the black screen that checks the game version before receiving a prompt that asks me to register my copy and close the app.

That code was simply to download the client. On MogStation does it say your Account is PS3 or PS4?

It also function as the promotion code for the digital download. So my old account does not have the ps4 version of the game it its psn library. Even if yes my squeenix account states that it is ps4.

Hmm that's just weird. Back during PS3 beta, my wife suffered from the issue of getting a beta code for the wrong region and we were able to use that code on a newly created PSN account with a dummy address etc. to download the client then register the beta account through HER PSN account. The PS3 didn't care that the promo code for the download was used on a different account. I suppose PS4 has tighter DRM? Friggin Sony... I thought any PSN account on the PS4 could run software downloaded by other accounts?

I hope they can help. Heck my brother had his buddy come over one day. My bro plays on PC but his buddy has a PS3 account. His buddy was able to download the client on my brother's PS3 and log into his PSN and play the game. Have you tried going into the PSN Store on the old account and downloading the software? IF SE Support fails you could try Sony's (LOL). It is after all THEIR stupid promo code system. All they had to do during this promotion was allow free download of the PS4 client to any PSN account with the PS3 version registered already. You can't play the game unless you purchase it or do the PS3 transfer anyways since there's no way to create a service account without a purchased reg. code. No piracy risk...

I didn't try redownloading the game with my old account I will try that when I get home. I actually like sony's customer better than square's I tried with them first. They offered me a refund but then asked me to try with square instead and if it didn't work they could give me my refund. I am now waiting for square's response. It's frustrating since I just want to play the damn game I would not even care If I lost my character I want to start over anyway.

So I went on the ps store on my old account and it states the game at 39.99 I would have to purchase it again if I want to download it. I can't believe how a simple mistake like this have this much irreparable impact.
