I can see sound!!! Does my miqo'te have synesthesia?

On the bottom corners of my screen and extending up to about halfway up the screen, I can see various colors flickering to the game sounds. Red for system sounds, green for character sound fx and ambient sound, and a bluish purple for back ground music. It sorta looks like equalizer waves or something. It only occurs in FFXIV, no other game, and if I run other sources of sound on my computer, it only reacts to the in game sounds, so its entirely contained within the FFXIV client. While it is pretty, it gets distracting when a lot of sounds are going on.

They added this in patch 2.35, it's in patch notes. It's for deaf players, there are even visuato go with it. It's extremely usefultimate for no deaf players aswell. It helps me keep track of voices, shouts in t7, and for when you can't have volume on.

Thanks. I was unaware of this setting. I only recently returned. Glad the community is still snippy. Now to find out where this thing is.

Accessibility settings in the games system configuration.

It should not have turned on by itself, and did not for me and most others.
