    T5 trouble

So I've been trying to finish T5 for some time now. I'm i97 WHM. I know the fight, I've watched the videos, I know about Death Sentence and divebombs. Conflagration and fireballs and all that. My problem seems to be the fact that there is so much going on at the wrong time. I'll be healing during the conflagration stage and one will pop up under me with little or no warning. Same thing with fireballs. I'm wondering if the fact I'm on ps3 has anything to do with it. Maybe the higher lag with ps3 keeps screwing me over. Maybe in too busy looking at the party member list and healing to notice Twintanias attack icons. My question is... is there anyways to condense my HUD interface or change my controller style to make it less hectic? It seems like I always get caught when I'm looking at the top left of my tv to click on the right party member to heal. Does anybody have any suggestions to make it easier to heal endgame content?

You could move the party list more center. When I heal I have mine just left of my toon, you can also change the size of it and other HUD. By going to HUD settings and clicking which one you want smaller or bigger, then press down your r3 button that will change the size of it.
Also in that fight it's best to have twin on focus that way you can see when she cast db and twisters.
If you don't know how to focus target you do it by selecting target then press square go to bottom of list there will be focus target.

I always focus all the bosses. It's easier to see casts when I'm healing someone.

Conflags and fireballs all have a ping sound the moment that they pop hear a ding look at the marker. The only thing I needed to do was to move my focus bar next to the party list for twisters. Beyond that the rest os react to whatever signs the game gives.

I've been told about the sound effects for conflagration and fireball. I've heard them and know to listen for them but I play when most people are asleep so I don't have the option of turning the volume all the way up. My question wasn't about how to notice them. My problem is with the HUD and possibly my controller settings.

If there is any way you can use headphones with your TV you may want to look into that since the sound effect is super noticeable and will be very useful for divebombs. Moving your party list so it is more centered helps like was suggested (I moved mine down a bit so it's at my eye level) but it's best for T5 and any difficult fights to keep glancing back at your character to make sure there's no markers or aoes or anything around you as not all of them have sound effects.

Conflags are somewhat of a group effort as even if you miss seeing it your party should also be looking out for them so they will be able to move out of the way in case you don't get under twintania in time.

    1) Get rid of PS3. Not because it's causing this issue necessarily, just because other methods are better. I own both PS4 and PC and play FF14 only on PC. Hardware is a lot faster, and also you should be able to get headphones.

    2) I've seen cases where small amounts of lag could cause animations to sometimes appear on your screen for shorter time than they should. This could possibly apply to the Fireball and Conflagration markers you mentioned. Same for Twister. In my experience it was connection lag that caused it - not the PC. I was able to solve it by changing how I connect to the internet.

I've noticed that I'm slower on my ps3 than most of my other party members. There's a longer load time for the dungeon intros and boss intro videos. I'm almost always the last one to start. I figured that lag would carry over into the other parts of the game but I didn't think it would be so noticeable during a raid. If I can change from a wireless wifi connection to a wired connection then I might want to look into that. I can't exactly trade my ps3 in for a ps4 or Pc.

Its your hardware. You're going to have to be better than everyone else to break even with average PC players.

My FC has been running people through Turn 5 lately and the PS3 players are always bad. We have to yell at them for conflags and divebombs. After a few people have said "I didn't see it", I'm starting to believe them now (instead of thinking they're just bad).

I'd definitely go wired connection. It could make a huge difference depending on how far your router is.
