Indeed. I love triple triad. So much so, that for years I played it here: http://www.tripletriadflashonline.com/en/play
Triple Triad was an actual card game, where the cards were static and the rules made sense. Tetra Master was a terrible RNG-based grind-fest with deliberately obfuscated rules. FFIX was definitely more fun than FFVIII, but FFVIII had the far superior card game.
Even though Triple Triad was great largely for its simplicity, what I'd love to see is a CCG with complex mechanics. Xenosaga Episode I had an amazing one that was far more fun than the game itself - "Xenocard." I know Xenosaga wasn't done by SE, but still, something with that level of complexity and deck-building would be really sweet!

I disagree on 1 aspect of the op's post. Trash mobs should have to be killed not just a few all of them. Regardless if you like them or not they are there and should be killed, no one should run from them. In order to access any boss in any instance, if there are trash mobs as players call them they ALL need to be killed, before you can access the boss.
Amen to that. There are trials like Titan EX and other primals where you can just go after the boss. The options are there for reason and players are free to choose.
Give us 70 or 100 skills, sure why not. Let us pick 30 sure why not.
We'll figure out the best 30 in a week and everyone will use them and only them and if they don't? They'll probably be called bad or get kicked from games. That's how that usually works out. Doing it just for the sake of doing it wont make anyone play different sadly it would just give us something to debate about for a little bit.
Otherwise glad you enjoy so much of the game.
Vote for more USEFUL cross skills with the level cap increase, I think it will give us better reasons to level up like good all-arounder noobs! (Having crafters all 50 is super helpful with the cross skills... Having DoL and DoM all 50 is almost useless in the same matter)
I guess Square Enix, like often, fears the possible answer of super casuals: "How annoying. Now I have to level up a WHM to 60 for being able to fully use my SMN?" or something like that... IT's not like somebody is putting you a pistol in your head for making you have the extra skills anyway... Geez..

Totally agree with OP on character creation. Severely lacking!
If you pay attention to it, the storyline is actually pretty good (in my opinion).
That's now how this works. You dismiss someone's arguments because it is wrong, not because of preconceived notions. It's not hatred for new players, you are just completely ignorant to my point here which, is coming thru loud and clear. I made my counter argument, it's that OP hasn't had time to experience the game to the fullest so OP is displaying thoughts or opinions based on a lack of experience which is just biased. If you want to take the opinions of an inexperienced player, by all means go ahead. If you would rather the thoughts of someone who has spent a bit more time playing, experiencing what the game has to offer, be my guest.
I've seen people that were level 50 on all jobs and crafts yet were terrible players. You don't see me saying that the opinion of people with a level 50 craft and jobs should be ignored.
You seem like the guy who would immediatly ignore a coworker's(with less experience in the same field of work as you) opinion simply because of a number and not whether it's true or not.
