So everytime i try to make a payment this code 406 shows up??? what do i do?
This is happening to me as well, and now I can't get on any more. I've entered my debit card info and gone through the steps multiple times but get that error every time.
I'm also getting this error message after using the same debit card for over a year now. I hope SE gets this resolved soon. I'm not changing cards after using the same one for over a year... Does SE still take Crysta as a subscription method?
Same, tried may times and it has given me the error. Probably for the best, I play too much anyways![]()
Like Rakesh I have used this same card for a year now and got this error today and can't pay anymore.
I have been dealing with this issue all morning.
I woke up with an e-mail from SE saying my payment did not go through. I thought to myself, "Oh crap... I forgot to update my card information" as I received a new card from my bank (my old card was torn apart from use). I went to the Mog station and proceeded to update my information. It didn't go through the first time, so I tried again. It registered my card, and confirmed that I wanted to pay my 90 day fee, and then gave me Error 406.
I have read in other threads that this has come up before and every time SE contacts the person having trouble, they blame the bank and say it is the bank not allowing the transaction. I've used this card to buy fantasia without issue as well as the same bank for paying for my subscription since 2.0 started. I know the card is working because as I checked online through mobile banking, I have about 9 $1.00 charges from SE (it's their "let's make sure your card works" ordeal they do) and yet I can't pay my subscription fee!? I tried going through the next tier at 180 days but that wasn't allowing me to go through either.
I also read that their is an unknown account lockout that SE employs when someone uses there card multiple times and with fail. I haven't received any information stating that I have been locked out (thank jeebus) but I'm still frustrated.
I want to collect my bloody tomes of soldiery SE... WHY DO YOU DENY ME!?!?!
EDIT: I have been able to resolve my issue. Since there was a problem with my card and I forgot to update my payment method, it locked me out of being able to change it without issue for 24 hours. I waited 24 hours AFTER my last attempt and was able to update my credit card information and it took the payment without issue.
Just try to wait 24 hours AFTER your last payment attempt and it should be fine... at least, it was fine for me.
Hope you all get your Error 406 sorted![]()

Square just got round to my ticket, asking me to provid information such as the name of the bank who issued the card, issue country etc. so I've replied to them and I'll post here again if I get a solution out of this.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that, while they did mention the time cards in the email, they actually warned me away from it and said it should only be a very last resort. The mentioned it was more expensive and didn't take in to account discounted fees e.g. entry level fees. I fully expected them to get all corporate and try and push me in the direction of the cards, but it's cool that they didn't.
Update: So after waiting something over 24 hours, I was finally able to make a payment with the third card I had tried (the one I used the least). Unfortunately because of this, I can't provide any solution other than "wait a day and try again", which is obviously not acceptable considering it happens so randomly. I urge anyone still having issues with this error to continue contacting Square Enix to at least try and find a solution to this problem. I'm going to email them back and say that my issue has been solved, but I'd like to know what was wrong anyway in case it happens again in future, and so that everyone else can avoid the trouble I've had to go through.
