Pretty sure that "odd excuse" won't happened if u keep ur dog inside ur houseOne time I had my dog outside in my front yard without a leash (electric fence) and a saw some coyotes out the window. The coyotes started howling and running. I was in T2 healing on ADS as SCH.
We died, but at least my dog didn't. Try not to judge so harshly you don't know whats going on.

Shit happens. We're all human, we make mistakes. And what does his dog staying outside have anything to do with it? Some dogs are outdoor dogs. Who are you to judge his choices?
Should he just have let his dog stay outside and get eaten just so his virtual team-mates don't die? Your party can return and re-do the fight; once his dog dies, it can't return.
Priorities as well. My static was in the middle of T7 when my mum yelled out to me that our dog was vomiting blood. I had to immediately rush him to the vet with barely a word to my static because, well, blood in vomit. What's your 'method' for preventing my situation? "Don't let your dog vomit blood"? Sorry, princess, not all of us live a problem-free and sterilised world like you. Shit happens.
Get a heart. You seem to be lacking one.

^ No one is really judging, it's not too hard to say AFK emergency, or nothing at all and when you come back to explain or just say, sry emergency.
THESE PEOPLE SAY NOTHING LOL Or they leave for dinner, etc, something they know is coming.
and yup, happens to me all the time. I just blist them and move on lol.
Worst I've seen is one guy joined my hunt PT...then left 5 min later, saying he has to go. Comes back 10 mins later and joins..I said umm, weren't you just in the PT? Him: No.
LOL right on the blist. Makes me wonder what is really wrong with these people. Emergency is fine, but when its random crap like this...meh, its just rude imho.

I'm just suspicious of the players in ST who go afk at the start of a fight and come back just as the fight ends. With almost perfect timing. My eyes just go narrow, like this --> (=____=)
But hey, could just be a ton of coincidences right? Right?
Player

I live with my family so alot of time momi call me to help her to do stuff or making dinner and I have to leave the party I just joined or the one I waited so long for it to fill .
I dont like to keep my mom waiting so I type fast like *gtg sry* /*gl need to go* , hate me im cool with it but my family always come First .![]()

I don't do auto-renew on anything. I like to be the one that grants access to my money when I want them to have it.
On the other note emergencies are one thing, but when you know you have to do something in 10-20 minutes thats just being a donkey. I have yet to finish the story modes last 2 dungeons on account of a 5 month old that may need attention in the middle of doing them.

If they join literally right before they have to leave then shame on them. But if you're farming and two or three runs into it something comes up and they leave, RL comes first hate to break it to you. If I am running a dungeon and something of import comes up, peace out...
Again I saw that under the sun the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to the intelligent, nor favor to those with knowledge, but time and chance happen to them all.
Well, if I am waiting on the que for 30 min or so, I maybe stuck between Staying because I waited this long to get into it, or eat because ya know we all have a life too. So when we click the commence button sometimes we do it because we want to do this fight we waited so long, but then we think about it and say " I really should get some grub in my tummy".
It's one of those a Rock stuck in a hard place.
I don't like it when people troll and join just to leave. If they have a reason to leave, ( maybe it's an emergency), and they click the commence button, then someone rushes in the door and says " THE BABY IS COMING!" or your GF could be calling you because Her computer got blue screened ( This happened before :/).
So when someone leaves and gives a reasonable explanation ( even dinner because maybe he thought he had enough time, or forgot that he had dinner ready and he/she heard the beeper go off), don't be mad at them. We are human and we do make mistakes, even you.

The point of this thread is people NOT giving reasonable explanations, or just abruptly , in the middle of something saying "gonna go guys, I just decided that this isn't worth the 5 soldiery" "good luck!" *Timmeh Selfishtank has left the group*(they queued JUST for 5 soldiery in low level roulette and it was a smooth run so they didn't leave because of a bad group). That's just one example.
I understand that stuff happens that takes precedence over the game. However why is it that 90% of the time the people that have to go for whatever reason are tanks? Yeah big mystery there. I will never get mad at someone who leaves over an emergency and I understand that sometimes people don't have time to type out "gtg emergency" due to the urgency of whatever it is they need to do. But I refuse to believe that being a tank in FF14 increases your RL bad luck and brings more misfortune and causes you to have to leave groups that waited 20-60m+ and leaving 4-7 other people to fend for themselves.
